good norwegian taste, i must say don't you like things like Burzum, Azrael, Striborg or Drudkh? Of course I like Burzum! Somehow managed to miss them out. And bastard killed my favorite bands guitarist, urgh. To be fair, I haven't heard any Azrael or Striborg, but Drudkh is definately a force to be reckoned with. Clearly an underrated band.

I just listen to the more well known Black Metal bands like Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir. I'm not even sure if they can be called Black Metal anymore though. Silent-Hal
cradle of filth and dimmu borgir aren't that bad (at least the 2nd one), it's just that they aren't black metal bands and it's not because of their sound
it is because Black Metal is not only a music genre, but a way of thinking and those bands aren't even near to that

as i stated at first, cradle of filth and dimmu borgir aren't black metal, at least for me (not because of the sound, but their way of thinking) and if they were, yeah, they haven't done anything good for the genre, but very much the opposite

I have all their albums and all their live dvds. They're fantastic, Dani Filth is awesome. Their older stuff was amazing but Thornography really brought them to together. Also, Behemoth, Celtic Frost, Mystic Forest, Moonspell (their earlier years), Leviathan, Bathory, Frost Like Ashes, Ragnarok, Sabbat, early Tiamat and Wintersun are all amazing.

neither would I. But apparantely someone disses Dimmu and he didn't like it so he called Cradle ****. I think that's the same thing as dissing Dimmu. Seems to me like someone is being a hypocrite.
Not really, just certain bands/people, like Burzum, Wolves in the Throne Room, and Agalloch (even though they're not black metal, they still have a fair share of influence from it).
