[QUOTE="dbzfreak123"][QUOTE="Baconbits2004"]There's some'tin wrong witchu boy, that's like...700 episodes.O.OHexagon_777
Not quite..291 episodes

Not quite. 873 episodes.

873?

Nah it's only ~280 (if you include the garlic jr. series it's more). The remastered versions are the ones that really count. They butchered the series to put it on Cartoon Network. You were only getting about 8 minutes of real episode each 30 minute blocks. They would repeat large sections, have 3 commercial breaks, and would just stare at each other for minutes at a time. None of that is in the remastered version and even less is in Kai where they focused on the essentials only.

Though after the Freeza saga things really pick up (except a bit during the Cell Games saga). Otherwise it moves at a good pace. Freeza saga takes forever... they really drew it out as long as they could.

There is a bit over 200 episodes of Drgaon Ball and then around 80 something episodes of DBGT... but for humanity's sake I don't count DBGT as DragonBall.

Neither do the guys from the DBZ Mulitverse comic. They just took the added characters from DBGT (Pan, Bra, older Goten and Trunks, older Gohan) and then continued the story from DBZ. It's quite epic.

One guy in this quote chain watched it thrice, another commented "That's like...700 episodes!" and I corrected him. :P 291 * 3 = 873

I couldn't be described as a DBZ or DB fan, though I've seen parts of both shows. I may watch through all of DB at some point, though it's not high on my list of anime to watch.

If you've watched all of Dragon Ball then Dragon Ball Z, then you're a boss. The beginning of DBZ is soo much better when you've watched DB first.

I can honestly say I've never seen a full episode of the show. Z or regular.

I actually enjoyed the original DB over DBZ. DBZ took itself too serious although it had a couple of enjoyable moments. DB was more light heart and fun. I enjoyed the episodes when Goku was fighting against Roshi. I never knew the old man was so ripped.

Its a shame around 15% of the people never seen dragon ball. Shame because you get a bigger appericiation for all of the characters especially krillin

Not to mention in dragon ball the humans actually were not weaklings and the show itself provided a more realistically fantasy world(yes yes I know...)

[QUOTE="DmadFearmonger"][QUOTE="campzor"]ii seriously dont get the hate for GTAvian005

I haven't seen it yet. But I think the hate's a bit extreme. Could it really be THAT bad?

Yes. Do yourself a favor, don't see it. I does Dragon Ball no justice.

But then he'll never understand the hate for it. It will put DB and DBZ on higher pedastals. The story is what I think people hate most about it. I forced myself to watch GT it because I just wanted to know how the SS4 happened. I do need to watch DB though, I've only seen bits and pieces here and there when it was on back when it was on, but never in any real order. I kinda like what I saw and if I can watch GT, then I can watch DB easily. Just need to find the time...

I got into DBZ first as a kid and loved it. The action was insane and it was torture waiting until the next day to see what happened, which got especially worse when Cartoon Network would re air older episodes in between newer ones at times. I got into Dragon Ball when it was introduced and I really enjoyed how it wasn't as focused on insane action and levels of physics and logic breaking feats. It was more story focused.

As a kid I liked DBZ more, but as an adult I like DB more. DBZ's action was cooler and more memorable, but they had a habit of padding out story arcs a bit.

Dragon Ball GT was also radically different then the other two so I kinda like that, though it was my least favorite of the three.
