Well, bands do have to play gigs to get noticed. Or just get featured in guitar hero. What's with everyone saying they got famous from Guitar Hero? Most people I know heard about Dragonforce before they knew about Guitar Hero.

I heard of them before they were featured in guitar hero.
I dunno... everyone says that they are terrible live but I saw them late december and let me tell you they played a wicked show. Hermans solo's were incredible and they all stayed in beat for most of it. Ya obviously their studio stuff is perfect and all but they can play a good show when they try!

Occasionally they'll actually care and make great live shows. Of course they can't do them perfectly because the effects like making the guitar sound a bit higher can't be used live. Take The Mars Volta, for instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH11YFqMoB0 Fantastic band, talented musicians, but the voice/guitar doesn't sound good due to no effects like making the voice sound better and the guitar/horn not mixing well, even though they hit every note perfectly.

Well, there's like 6 or 7 songs I like by Dragonforce, and 2ish I like by Hammerfall :?. The only power metal band I would actually call myself a fan of is Sonata Arctica.

Of course I would, If I go to see a concert, I'm paying to see the band preform, not for the atmosphere.
