As a huge hip-hop fan my vote goes to the East Coast. I mean groups like the Wu-Tang clan can destroy anyone in the game. Not to mention all the classic Hip-Hop albums that come from New York.

Haystak, Z-Ro, and Ludacris are my fav rappers from the south. T.I. and Outkast are good too. i really cant think of anyone else.

are u high. i like the old BTNH, but their style is fast, Wu-Tang has lyrical meaning compared to that mainstream crap they have on mtv. Don't forget Wu-Tang helped put rap on the spot in the 90's

but anyway although i don't really care much where a rapper comes from, i have yet to hear a decent rapper come out of the dirty south, nelly sucks, ludacris sucks, though there are tons of outstanding mc's from the east coast, in particular new york, sucha as papoose, talib kweli, mos def and ofcorse 50 cent... (j/k fiddy is an embarrasment to new yorkers)

Stfu, don't give me that. Bone Thugs are good, but overrated as hell. Their fans act like there's nothing else besides BTNH that's worth listening to. The Wu is one of the best collectives in rap ever. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Liquid Swords, Supreme Clientele, No Said Date, Tical, and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx are all classics. There are countless other really good albums too.

Lil Wayne is incredibly overrated. Mainstream rap is so pathetic now that the fans have to settle for him as their lyrical god. There are probably 1000s of MCs that are killin him right now. His beats are cheesy synthesized southern rap ish and his subject matter is like every other rapper, about guns, cash, ho's, materialism, etc. The funniest part is how cocky he is and how good he thinks he is when he's rapping corny ass metaphors. He thinks he's actually clever, but all his ish has been done before. Now he thinks he's the best out there now? please...
