Fall Out Boy - better than your favourite band

Your intolerance isn't of other bands, it's of opinions which differ to yours regarding the bands you like.

Stop refering to it as hate. :? This isn't an angry mob hating your favourite band to annoy you. This is simply the majority of people who dont fall within the band's target audience who hear their music on the radio and on MTV and dont care for it.

Well you did say that Fall Out Boy is "better than [my] favourite band", so that's indirectly stating that everyone else's favorite band that isn't Fall Out Boy is of lesser quality. So yeah, you kind of did say that other people's bands suck, just not directly. Blood-Scribe

Well then if you put it that way, that would be rather presumptuous, considering you are basically assuming that most people here don't like their favorite band as much as Fall Out Boy. But even then, how would that make their opinion seemingly less valid? Just because someone likes their favorite band more than someone else suddenly means that their opinion is beyond dispute?

I didn't see Joe Strummer telling everyone that they were wrong, though. They were happy to let the fans be fans and everyone else be everyone else.

I hope it pains most of you that your favourite band will never reach their level of superiority, save for in your own mind. If you can't provide any evidence to suggest that FOB aren't awesome, besides your own opinion based, elitist waffle, then you can spare us from your boring hate on them from this point forth. Well, the best way to do that is to simply point out to anyone who says that your taste is bad that music is entirely subjective and based on individual reaction and opinion. That's an arguement nobody can ever break.

Telling people that they're wrong or that they're a hater or an elitist gets you nowhere. And i'd advise not taking every post which says they're bad as an attack on your tastes. They aren't. They're just expressions of opinion.

This thread is more about Snake's stalker-esque obsession with FOB than it is about the actual band, so I feel the need to say this...Prove to me that you love them more than anyone else in the world. Without proof of that first, all your posts and arguments in your own favor are invalid.
