Cowboy Bebop for me.
What about you?
I've also been watching the new(ish) Supernatural anime series and I'm loving it so far, four episodes in.

It's been the same one for years.
Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex

Ghost in the Shell : 2nd Gig
I should say though, i did poo poo Cowboy Bebop until my friends sat me down one summer and watched it all from beginning to end. I'll say this. It was fantastic series.
Lucky Star.
Well, what can I say... it's the Seinfeld gang if they were turned into anime schoolgirls.

Hahah :) Very similar story for me as well. Took me a little bit to give it a chance.
and of course I can't help but agree that Ghost in The Shell is completely fantastic. That was one I was considering next to Cowboy Bebop.
Also, I see a few posts repping DBZ. To be honest, I've watched a lot of anime, but never have I put myself through watching DBZ... I'm just very unsure.
You probably won't like it. But you will never get the "over 9000" meme if you don't.Also, I see a few posts repping DBZ. To be honest, I've watched a lot of anime, but never have I put myself through watching DBZ... I'm just very unsure.

Hahah. I didn't think so.
Only one I've really watched is Death Note, which I loved. I've started watching another series call Black Butler which I've been enjoying a lot too (Its the one in my sig).Morrdecai
Death note is amazing, took long enough for someone to mention it :P

Read the manga. It's much better than the anime.
Durarara!! I hope they do more seasons. It was incredible. Darker Than Black is one of my favorites as well even though the pace is kind of slow.
For the shonen manga Animes, One Piece is on a whole different tier than the others. Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball Z focus on prolonged battles whereas One Piece focuses on creative, brilliantly orchestrated, and varied storytelling/story lines and the characters are far better fleshed out. the manga version is far superior though
Otherwise Neon Genesis Evangelion is quite an experience and those rebuild movies are visual masterpieces
Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex is my favorite by far with Giant Robo and Cowboy Bebop skating in as backup awesomeness.
I'll have to check out One Piece, one of the only popular ones I haven't seen yet that I've been interested in :)

You recommend reading it? I might just do that before watching if you really liked it. Half the time the manga's superior anyway.
Definitely Full Metal Alchemist Shinsetsu.
Second place would be a tie between Chobits and Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu, and third would be another tie between Serial Experiments Lain and Baccano!
Honorary mention goes to the Shaman King manga; I don't usually read manga but that was amazing.
