Years back Century Media had three of my favorite unknowns, Moonspell, Rotting Christ, and Samael.
I'm pretty sure The Strokes are very popular.

the strokes?? there not the biggest band ever but most everybody knows about them. i would say mars volta. MUSICAL GENIUSES if roger waters and david gilmour did crack theyd make that kind of music

The amount of songs has nothing to do with a bands popularity.They can't be big with the limited amount of songs they have out.

I saw Fishbone live ay my campus when I was in College. Not a bad band at all.
