I don't support any team in particular. Although I like to see my local team performing well (I'm more of a 'wellwisher' than a supporter)
Glory suppoting amuses me to the point of frustration though. Sure, for some, support for a winning team is inherited from family members. But for the vast majority of football's plastic fans, glory supporting begins with a conscious decision to support the winning team (whether that team be Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid etc.) at an early age. It's the same with any sport.
Nevertheless, it's always hilarious to hear a Man Utd supporter with an Essex accent talk about their beloved club on radio phone-ins. If your going to glory support, you can at least make an attempt to glory support your nearest successful club. Try Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea... even Lille are closer to Essex than Manchester United!
Edit: I feel sorry for Manchester United fans who are actually from Manchester to be honest. They get unfairlytarred with the 'glory supporter' brush.
