For those downloaded it, the "location bar" or commonly known as "adress bar" is an unimaginable monstrosity. Its extremely terribly implemented, utterly flawed, and completely fails to find the required webpages making FF3 a pain in the ass to use.

I type in "ne", and it sorts "slashdot-NEws for NErds", and "groklaw.NEt", and a few other things, BEFORE "NEws.google.com".

If I WANTED slashdot, I would have typed "sl". If I WANTED groklaw, I would have typed "gr".

Do the people who design these things even type at all when they use the browser, or do just they think they are helping out old people who don't know how to use a mouse with fancy icons?????

If you're going to the wrong pages that's YOUR fault, not the browser's

Are you the sort of user that plans to visit Gamespot and then wonders why you're seeing the page for EB games?

You obviosuly need some time with the instructions

It's a simple interface that sifts the information into what's in your bookmarks, what's popular, and where you've been before

It doesn't send you to the wrong place unless you screw up and it doesn't stop you from going where you typed.

Next time read over the literature before you move to an upgrade that you're not ready to use

A Google search of "ne" results in 1,840,000,000 results. I'm surprised it gave you such related results.

NOw how is anything supposed to know that you want Google News over News for Nerds? It only sees the word "News" and ranks it accordingly. I think it adjusts the results over time, like if you visit Google News more, it will eventually rise to the top.

What in gods name is it that you want then? If you want accurate searches then use a search engine. If you want to type in an address use the address bar.
