I will never use Chrome until they add this button
I depend too much on Bookmarks for me to do away with this.

But there is a bookmark button under the tool icon in Chrome (though this does take one more click to get to then the Firefox button). And there is a bookmarks bar option (though I think this is annoying).

Just activate the bookmarks toolbar.
So... Can you still save multiple tabs in a session when closing Firefox?
I downloaded and looked around and it doesn't look like it. ;__;

These must be some obscure extensions that people are having issues with.
I'll stick with Chrome for now. I don't want dat massive memory leak.aaronmullanWhat massive memory leak? :P

That takes up additional screen estate.[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]I'll stick with Chrome for now. We have one or two users in this thread who already use it, though.

Chrome has the option to show the bookmarks tab which has the drop down bookmarks... and the star in the web address bar is how you mark a page. So whats your excuse?

It's just a drop down menu for your bookmarks settled nicely next to the address bar and thus doesn't take up an entire bar. If you still want a bookmarks bar, you can get that too.[QUOTE="joesh89"][QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]The bookmarks tab? Do you mean the bookmarks bar?Hexagon_777

I just don't understand why Chrome doesn't have it. Seems standard among IE and Opera.
I think that Mozilla needs to go back to the Firefox 3.x version numbering style. The amount of changes between 4-6 aren't visible to the average user. The only reason that Chrome is able to get away with releasing new versions often is because they don't make a big deal about it. It even updates in the background.judog1So does Firefox. How is Mozilla making a big deal out of it?

That's like tying your shoes each time you put on your shoes, instead of just leaving em tied. You spend so much time doing it one way and suddenly there's an extra step is always a poop idea.[QUOTE="CammiTac"]

Maybe that is why I don't understand this complaint. :P
But the reason I like Chrome so far is because it doesn't have all those extra buttons. It just looks so nice and uncluttered and has a simple consistent color scheme, and to me the half a second it takes for one extra move of the mouse is worth that. Though admittedly I would go back to Firefox if it would stop freezing on my laptop all the time.

I still have version 4, might update but I don't feel any "speed" difference or anything.

Ugh. hopefully they can fix the problems the last two versions had. Random freezing, tabs messes up, yahoo toolbar does not update til you restart browser, flash support is mediocre, and now when I close my browser, it doesn't allow me to save multiple tabs for the next time I open firefox up (I think there's a way to enable that feature, but I forgot how....). Really thinking about going to chrome. The only reason I haven't already is because I don't feel like customizing a browser all over again and firefox has all my passwords saved. But I'll make that jump if nothing improves....tocool340Check my forum signature. The solution to one of your problems has been in there for weeks. There are two other methods to do what you want as well.
Don't do it! Firefox became Google Chrome one it hit 4.I'm on version 3.6.18
... I swore I updated to 4...
I'll download 6 soon then! :)

EDIT: it's still better than Chrome though.
Still using 4.0, I updated to 5.0 on my other computer and nothing changed. So not updating.WSGRandomPersonYea, just ignore the bug fixes and whatever other less visible improvements that were made.
This pretty much.Firefox development is on turbo mode apparently to match the rapid releases of chrome versions.
Cataclism
For the love of.... Didn't they just release 5 not too long ago? Whatever, downloading now.MistressMinako4 came out late spring. This is going to surprise a lot, but on the plus side I haven't gotten Firefox yet so when I get a PC that can actually run it, it's going to be a fun day.
[QUOTE="bbkkristian"]Is there any REAL improvement, or just another useless update? gmaster456Its basically firefox 4.2. This fast release stuff is BS. Its the reason they are loosing market share. Business don't want to waste the time or reasources to deploy software that will be outdated and abandoned in a couple weeks. If you're thinking Firefox is losing (not loosing) market share to Chrome due to rapid releases, think again. Google came up with the whole concept in the first place. And they're using the exact same release schedule (every 6 weeks).

You do realize IE is the most secure browser out there currently don't you?
http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/08/16/7387005-internet-explorer-9-safest-web-browser.
What a surprise, a study funded by Microsoft shows that Microsoft is far superior to all others.
I've actually heard quite a few good things about IE9, so I'm not insulting it, just this "study".
