I'm recently upgrade my firefox in ubuntu and just like the previous versions, but i'm not tested the windows version yet because i've installed many plugins there like Internet Download Manager. But firefox runs far better in ubuntu linux compared to running in windows when i'm found some sluggish performance when using firefox. Even chrome also have same conflicts as the firefox, but firefox is designed for precision browsing, chrome is just go faster, but sometimes it often crashes anytime.

You do realize IE is the most secure browser out there currently don't you?
http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/08/16/7387005-internet-explorer-9-safest-web-browser.
What a surprise, a study funded by Microsoft shows that Microsoft is far superior to all others.
I've actually heard quite a few good things about IE9, so I'm not insulting it, just this "study".
Plenty of others if you want me to dig them up.[QUOTE="gmaster456"][QUOTE="judog1"]I think that Mozilla needs to go back to the Firefox 3.x version numbering style. The amount of changes between 4-6 aren't visible to the average user. The only reason that Chrome is able to get away with releasing new versions often is because they don't make a big deal about it. It even updates in the background.Hexagon_777I agree. I liked how the numbering style was before and there really wasn't any reason to change it. I also like how Chrome updates itself compared to FF. Firefox does that too unless I am misunderstanding you. Unless I missed an option somewhere, it doesn't automatically update. A notification comes up for about 5 seconds saying "Firefox 6.0 Released...Click to Download and Install". Chrome, on the other hand, doesn't even tell you when a new update is released and does everything automatically. Oh, and if I don't click the notification fast enough, I have to go to the Firefox website and update it myself. That make me seem lazy, but it should be automatic.

Like 4.0 to 4.0.1 But from 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 it doesn't which is what Mozilla is doing.
Is it me or does this version not freeze as much?VodkaFTWchrome barely ever freezes on me at all. maybe like once or twice a week when im doing really demanding things
I just went back to 3.6 because apparently for some reason the text is really weird in firefox 6, it's all thick and way too strong contrast.
[QUOTE="tocool340"]Ugh. hopefully they can fix the problems the last two versions had. Random freezing, tabs messes up, yahoo toolbar does not update til you restart browser, flash support is mediocre, and now when I close my browser, it doesn't allow me to save multiple tabs for the next time I open firefox up (I think there's a way to enable that feature, but I forgot how....). Really thinking about going to chrome. The only reason I haven't already is because I don't feel like customizing a browser all over again and firefox has all my passwords saved. But I'll make that jump if nothing improves....Hexagon_777Check my forum signature. The solution to one of your problems has been in there for weeks. There are two other methods to do what you want as well. Yeah that fixes one problem. So far 6 hasn't shown the bugs the last 2 versions has (For example, after viewing a flash video for a while, the browser will start freezing up. The only way I can get a page to load is to continuously move my mouse around with the only way to fix the problem is to completely restart the browser...) Hopefully, problems like that don't show up...
what the hell is happening with firefox? Firefox 5 was JUST released.. :ScampzorMozilla changed their release philosophy this year, and thus planned to release firefox 4-7 this year.

Here's hoping that my Norton Toolbar is compatible with FF6. Storyangeldeb82It isn't. :(
Edit: Apparently I'm wrong.
[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]Since so many of you complained about Firefox updating so fast...:Pjudog1The browser better update by itself then. Does that already I believe.
