[QUOTE="Statutory_AP3"] You can't overdose on Marijuana. But they weren't the cause of death, so don't switch words around.Statutory_AP3

I didn't say they were an overdose. I remember they existed....not the statistical breakdown. Please read my posts before responding. Thanks.

You said they were a cause of death, by cause of death, that would mean an overdose.

No it does not. Alcohol can cause a death by car accident. That is not an overdose. But if that is the only criteria for death responsibility than you have to throw out most of the alcohol related deaths in the interest of fairness. That number just nose dived.;)

Killing you?

second hand smoke, lots of my friends are smokers

First off, you're ridiculous and not at all a bad dude. Second, Second hand smoke from tobacco products is whats harmful, second hand from cannabis is nothing to worry about. Like at all, you will not get cancer, you will not have breathing problems, nothing will happen to you.

[QUOTE="Neon-Tiger"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]

legalization will increase usage and the percentage will increase a bit

LJS9502_basic

Consumption decreased in the Netherlands after legalization. What makes you say it would go the other way in the States?

Because those who use will continue to do so and those no longer afraid of arrest will start. Out of curiousity....how did legalization affect consumption of other drugs?

Number of hard drugs consumers didn't change much. Only Marijuana was decriminalized, hard drugs are still banned.

[QUOTE="_en1gma_"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Er no. Accidents do occur under the influence of marijuana.:|

LJS9502_basic

Accidents also occur while under the influence of water. ;)

Driving accidents? Proof.

Here. is some copy and paste in regard to this subject...

Marijuana has serious harmful effects on the skills required to drive safely: alertness, the ability to concentrate, coordination, and the ability to react quickly. These effects can last up to 24 hours after smoking marijuana. Marijuana use can make it difficult to judge distances and react to signals and sounds on the road.

Marijuana may play a role in car accidents. In one study conducted in Memphis, TN, researchers found that, of 150 reckless drivers who were tested for drugs at the arrest scene, 33 percent tested positive for marijuana, and 12 percent tested positive for both marijuana and cocaine.

Data have also shown that while smoking marijuana, people show the same lack of coordination on standard "drunk driver" tests as do people who have had too much to drink.

Poast link.

And there is a growing push for it. Topics like this are coming up frequently in real life debate (as well as here in OT :P), medical discussions, and bills around the country aiming for legalization are sitting there unsigned and without being vetoed or withdrawn. I honestly can see it being legalized in the next few years. Not that I'd even use the stuff...I just think it's a right from an ideological standpoint that we should have the ability to use it if we wanted.Saturos3091

Of course it is. Just ask your friends to stop smoking around you or stop hanging around them when they're smoking. They already do it when it's illegal, legalizing will have no effect in your situation, I fear.

It's been proven that cigarettes are worse than weed(marijuana). There's things in Marijuana that help people, in cigarettes there's nothing that helps you. Weed is good for people that are stressed out and such, a reason why it should be legalized especially for them.

Above the Influence. They have plenty of reasons as to why not to smoke weed. Seriously guys I dont get it. Do you think people are taking weed away to ruin your fun? Dont you think some people want to help you out? Maybe its for the better that weed is illegal. Maybe the cons outweigh the pros.

For smoking it? Relieve stress, increases appetite, reduces nausea, helps people with sleep disorders, relieves pain, lifts your mood, creates ideas, etc... there are much more. There are also benefits for legalizing it..economic, legal, and logical benefits. I don't really feel like doing research for you. It's easily accessible for you. Do your own research.

um...those are the EFFECTS of smoking weed, most of them are completely arbitrary especially the first half of the list. the only bonafide pros listed there are "Increased appetite" and "reduced stress" for arguably medical reasons. I dont agree however that there are more pros than cons, especially when you take into account dosage intake.

um...those are the EFFECTS of smoking weed, most of them are completely arbitrary especially the first half of the list. the only bonafide pros listed there are "Increased appetite" and "reduced stress" for arguably medical reasons. I dont agree however that there are more pros than cons, especially when you take into account dosage intake.

Post some cons for me then.

Hungry_Jello

Someone is brainwashed.

Lol no. I'm just not crazy enough to want the legalization of a drug that has ruined many lives before my eyes.

Lol yes. How were these lives ruined?

Most of that list is merely impressions and as such not valid....and some are not what I'd want to experience.

[QUOTE="_en1gma_"] For smoking it? Relieve stress, increases appetite, reduces nausea, helps people with sleep disorders, relieves pain, lifts your mood, creates ideas, etc... there are much more. There are also benefits for legalizing it..economic, legal, and logical benefits. I don't really feel like doing research for you. It's easily accessible for you. Do your own research.

I know a lot of things about weed already, and the reaosn why i wanted to see what stoners would say is because a lot of stoners dont have any concrete support for the claim that "there are lots of pros to smoking weed" and by that, what i mean is, almost all of weeds pros are MEDICAL, in which case, weed is technically already "legal" as it is being distributed today as a bush medicine. so if you want to talk strictly about weed and why its good in some cases, fine i concede. however, stoners do not benefit from any of these bonuses, or let me put it this way, the main goal behind smoking weed for most people is not the so called "pros" they like to push in hopes of making it legal. From a stoners perspective, there is really very little pros to list against cons suffered from habtual weed smoking, and dont feed me that "increased appreciation for music and arts" etc lol hippie propaganda at its finest.
