[QUOTE="Anti-Venom"][QUOTE="footballa27"] because what i said was truegc88
Many people would disagree with that....including myself...

i believe a dodge ram could destroy an s2000. and a mustang could smoke an s2000.

:lol: yea ok....Like im gonna beleive that

[QUOTE="Anti-Venom"][QUOTE="footballa27"] a 4 cylinder honda would not kill a 325 hp v8 monster i beat an s2000 with my dads dodge ram-_Cloud_-
I dont think so...

Buddy, the Honday S2000 is weak sauce. Not trying to put you down or anything, but it is. Watch this video, it shows someone driving it to the "limit"... And you'll see that It's quite slow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pttpFE5Mo6E

Once again, another poor random example

2002-2005 i have 20,000

Why not just save a bit more and buy a new Mustang then? Or perhaps even a Camaro.

straight performance numbers dont mean crap anymore these days. The Tesla Roadster can out-accelerated a Ferrari Testerossa yet it has an engine the size of a lawnmower. there are countless other factors besides horsepower and engine size. i mean a mustang vs an s2000 in a straight quarter then yeah the mustang will have it beat by a couple lengths. but take them to a track where real performance is measured like Laguna Seca or Road America then the mustang doesnt stand a chance as its heavier, has a lower power to weight ratio and horrible braking distancesFUBAR24

Huh? A super-high efficiency electric motor with gobs of torque mated to a super-light frame is going to out perform most vehicles on the road.

And vehicle performance doesn't have much to do with on-track performance, a lot is dependant on driver skill. Heavier cars with more horsepower and torque and a wider powerband are going to perform better on a track because they can accelerate faster and be more stable at higher speeds. And the problem with comparing a Mustang to a S2000 on the track is that the Mustang is designed as a daily-driver as well, while the S2000 is an enthusiast vehicle designed with racing in mind. Kind of like comparing a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti to a Lotus Exige. The Scag has massive power and weight and is designed for luxury and exotic-level performance... while the Exige is a bare-bones track ripper that due to its tiny frame, light weight and good power:weight ratio is going to maul the Scag on a tight track... but once it comes to the open road, the Scag will pull ahead.

And FYI, the S2000 with its 1274kg curb weight and 179kW engine, has a lower power:weight ratio than a fifth-gen Mustang GT with its 1579kg curb weight and 224kW engine. The S2000 is 141 kW/Tonne and the Mustang is 142 kW/Tonne. So in a race on a track, if power:weight is everything, the Mustang will win.

Get the Trans Am or a Camaro, and for the guy boasting about the s2000, stop it.

thats what im saying. if it were just about performance numbers the ferrari would crush the roadster. but its not just about numbers anymore. so you just proved my point
