[QUOTE="clayron"]PICSsolid_marioThat one on your chest is actually sick! Where did you get the idea for it from?
I honestly jsut took the basic idea to my artist - Hands tearing open the chest with a cross made of bone -- fter about a month of drawing and changing it we came up with that. The part near the collar bone was his idea, he said that it was better to make it vanish then to close it off so it does not look all squished together.
:P I do like 2 months of consultations with my artist before I get a tattoo.

Well the extra time was worth it :P[QUOTE="Dracula68"] Oh yeah, I've seen the "name" one as well. I had no idea what it was at the time and couldn't understand why someone would do that...lolspazzx625Yeah, it might be on my Facebook...Or I may have posted it here before (on my blog, maybe?) What are yours? I'm hoping for a huge David Lee Roth kick-split on your back I haven't done my back yet but I saved a VH t-shirt from the early 80's in a plastic bag that I always wanted. Not sure if I still do but at least I know I have it somewhere packed in boxes. First one I got was the first game I beat on the SNES but I didn't want it just green like the SNES box cover so I told the guy to just add any colors. This was way back in 92'. Second one I got was for my daughter(2008). Third one (which I will get a pic soon) was for my heart transplant. It is a scorpion(2009) and the date of my transplant between the claws. I had to wait until I was in the clear to start getting them again which is why the long drought from 92-08. Transplant was in 98.

I want one, I was supposed to get on very soon but I am going to wait until I get a career first. Going into a criminal justice career they check tattoos, usually pretty early in the evaluations. Some of the tattoos I plan to get might be questionable and might lower my chance of getting a job. Anyways I am still fooling with idea but I might get one of these in the future. 1. Octopus on chest with lyrics from ISMFOF "Don't Get the octopus upset" 2. Freddy Krueger claw scratch down the chest, looks as if Krueger is ripping me open from the inside. 3. If Escape the Fate ever comes up with a good symbol, then I might get an ETF tattoo.Avistann
Those sound awesome!!
I am working on one for the left ribs...
I want to have the reaper's scythe tearing me open across the ribs and down my lower back. Then the hand of the reaper will be folding the skin down, and you will see the silhouette of the reaper's face /hood with fire with faint skulls radiating from the eye socket.
The last two

Man those tats are amazing, whoever does your work is very good.
Myself, I haven't gotten any done yet, but I plan to. The first one I plan to get is my last name across my back, kind of hibben in tribal-type designs. The will bbe my upper back, from shoulder to shoulder. then eventually I want to get half sleeves on each arm and join it in.

Wow, I like your idea as well. Similar concept as mine. I was going to get working on it a month ago but I was informed by a friend in criminal justice that having blood and violence all over my chest would probably not look good walking into a criminal justice job. Once I get a stable career, I will probably begin working on it.I will once it stops pealing. My wife forgot to take a pic the day I got it and now I want her to wait. Cool. So you were in the hospital for over 6 months then? I like the Tin Man figures, too. That was an interesting album[QUOTE="spazzx625"] Will do. Do you have the 3rd tat pic on FB?Dracula68

This is the shop that does it. - It is there website if you want to scheck it out.
THis is my artist Jaydee - he is the only person I will let do it. He gets uber excited when you come to him with an original idea, and I like that in an artist. Also, in person he looks like the Catholic depiction of Jesus, which is comforting.

I am in a business major, and my mentor is constantly hassling me about my tattoos, and he has never even seen them. I could only imagine what would happen to you.
As far as ideas go, the octopus one sunds awesome if you could find a great artist.

Yes, I don't know if you have noticed but in many of my post I show that I am OBSESSED with octopi. I was really excited to get it but very disappointed to see two kids in my school already have octopi tats. Get soemthing with an octopus that no one else has. That way the go, "Dude!! That is the sickest tattoo of an octopus evar." THen they look at there own tattoos in shame.
I don't have one. I have no intention of getting one either. Don't like them.
I had a pierced ear way back when, but I let that seal up after a good six weeks. I did that before ever considering a tattoo or anything and I realised that for me it would be a gimmick, and one that I would think was great for a little while, but ultimately regret, I would get bored of it. While the concept of tattoos may be kind of cool, in practice I just wouldn't be able to stand having the same thing on my skin forever. It seems too permanent.

Well, it is permanent.
Believe it or not, after a while you stop noticing you have them. They become a part of you.

He does some nice work for sure. Once I get the money for it, I am planning on going to see a guy named Mike Austin. He has his own private shop in London, Ontario. The work I have seen him do is amazing. It's a long waiting list, but it would be worth it.
While im at it, ive been trying to plan for my next tattoo, im having a hard time finding the right art though and as im not a good drawer i cant really do it myself.
I need a picture of a fisherman with a peg leg and a harpoon above his head...i would prefer a picture of ahab from moby dick, but that may be too specific. If i can find another picture of a different fisherman i can shoop it to look like i want.
As much as im not religious that one on your chest is still damn badass.
I want one at some point. But I have no idea what and I absolutely hate stinging pain.Sway-
the pain isnt really that bad, yeah a needle in your skin stabbing you over and over again for hours sounds bad, but its really not.
More annoying than anything to be completely honest.

[QUOTE="jointed"] Aren't we supposed to discuss tattoos?Pirate700
yeah not **** about them, go write an article for a womans magazine or something...your skills would serve that better.
Oh snap! They can give tattoos that only show up with a blacklight? I agree, that IS awesome!dont have a tattoo but want to get one at some point
dont know what though
EDIT
black light tattoo = AWESOME!!! :o

I don't think I would ever get this one, but I've tried looking for a picture of it but couldn't find it. It'd be on the chest, and it would be a naked woman and the nipple of one of her boobs would be the person's nipple. Like I said, I've tried looking for pictures of something like that, but usually google images just brough up pictures of naked women with tattoos. :P
I plan on getting a really detailed circular cletic knot, similar to the one on the cover of the Discipline album.
I also want a dragonfly tatoo, but I think I would regret that one... even though it looks pretty good on it's own without any band association.
I've considered getting this for multiple reasons:
1. It's not trashy.
2. Simple design
3. And it would mean a lot to me
I'd feel like a hypocrite though, because typically I find band logos like that ridiculous "heartogram" really trashy and shortsighted when it comes to tattoos, but I honestly feel like Radiohead means enough to me to get.
Long story short: Am I being a typical underthinking teen here?
