I was listening to the radio this morning and they talked about Red Eye, they even played the recording on air.They were encouraging people to write to FOX News...

I'm not personally offended but that was not comedy, it was just sad.

I stopped watching cable news in general sometime last year. I would rather be ignorant than misinformed.

i can't believe people are still defending this garbage. 2 lines were clearly crossed. one: stewart, colbert, leno, letterman, ect...do not work on news networks. fox news is a news network so it has more responsiblity, like it or not, and in the youtube age, it doesn't matter if it's on air at 3pm on wednesday or 2am on sunday. two: satire is fine for groups of people, religion, behaviour, ect...but a line gets crossed when you joke about people dying and putting their lives on the line. this shouldn't even be debated.

as an update, fox news is now apologizing to the government of canada after this story has gone all over the airways in canada. people who don't see why this causes a problem are part of a mindset that has americans despised in parts of the world that they shouldn't be despised in.

obviously I have heard insulting jokes before, and I usually enjoy them....but this is different and even you know it....so stop defeding foxnews already...everyone knows its a p.o.s again is making fun of ppl who died in the war funny? I dont mind jokes on canadian, cause I do usually enjoy the south park and stephen colbert jokes...but those jokes are like 10 seconds and its over....this was 4 ppl being pretty much racist on a network that calls itself FOX NEWS for 5 minutes straight(NEWS being the key word, and its one of the most watched new network in the U.S) it was just some bad timing to say the least especially with all the deaths in that week....but ya if anyone made fun of the U.S soldier and how dumb and inbred they were, you know Americans would be up in arms with the statements anyway...its just adding to the already ridiculously bad U.S stereotype...and you defending the arguement showashat some americans just dont care about anyone except themselves and what they think is right (the american way is best right?)volcomstoner180

There is no insult if you don't take it seriously and if you think this is serious well then there is something wrong with you. There is a difference between you flat out saying, American soldiers are inbred morons and saying in a joking manner that they are jarheads or something like that. There is a difference between an insult and a joke, and it is clear. It's clear in this case, but you are too blinded by your insecurities to see it.
