I believe Gamespot is more professional. Don't get me wrong, I like IGN, and I visit from time to time, but I love Gamespot more. The way they headline their articles, the way the forums are outlined, so many features on this site, some I haven't discovered or clicked on yet.

GameSpot has weird commercials. I'm really tired of Chris O'Donnell staring at me with that smirk on my face. He must thinking about his Boy Wonder days. So, IGN.

Did you honestly think you would recieve non-biased opinions from a site that is listed in your argument?

This is exactly how I feel. I tried IGN forums many times before, but I could just never get into it. Gamespots forums feel so much better, despite how glitchy they can be.

You should have made a poll.

IGN is quicker to post game reviews, yet I prefer to be here.:)

You don't have to pay to use the forums on Gamespot, so I'll choose Gamespot. Also, as far as reviews go, I'm not sure I value one site's opinion over the other as I'd probably read both anyway if I was unsure I wanted to buy a game. I think the media is a little easier to get to on IGN though.

I go to IGN regularly for news and reviews, and both seem to come more promptly to IGN than GS. I also find their reviews more even-handed.

I come to GS for the forum structure and community. It's not perfect, but I like it.

IGN made a bogus review of a DS game. I don't trust them with their games.

But I don't like how GameSpot never gives a score higher then 9.5 for some of the Wii's most incredible games. *coughSuperMarioGalaxycough*

But I love GameSpot's forums. IGN's is not very good.

I don't see how everyone likes IGN's reviews. They're very immature in the way they review games. They mostly bash and complain, and never point out the key points. They're my least trusted game review site of all time.

IGN for everything but the forums. If their forum was even half as good as this one, I might have never joined GS in the first place.

IGN. gamespot still hasn't review Mario and Luigi Bowsers inside strory, or Guitar Hero 5 for the Wii. If Gamespot didn't have great forums, there would be no way I would visit this site.

In terms of journalistic quality, but are unfathomably horrible. But Gamespot has good forums and IGN has terrible ones, so Gamespot wins.

Yeah I agree. IGN gave Empire Total War an 9.5 and it did not deserve that being as buggy as it was at release.

i think IGN is better in general (podcasts, news, reviews all of that) but GameSpot has much better forums.

Greg Miller VS Tom McShae, there's a deathmatch i'd like to see.

IGN has Jessica Chobot. So IGN=Win
