The only reason people hate him is because he was white and the other guy was black.

The reason for the media coverage may have been race, but race doesn't come into how I feel about the situation. He did not need to follow and confront Trayvon with the police. He did so. Even if he did kill Trayvon in self defense, the entrie situation could have been avoided if not for Zimmerman's bad judgement. He has to live with it. we have to hear about it for years now.

Also Greta van Susteren walked in the area where the confrontation occurred, and showed how dark it is, so I think the darkness could've played a role, I think if this had happened in the daylight, the whole confrontation may not have occurred.

I've never heard a good reason for why Zimmerman approached Trayvon Martin.

If you think it was justifiable, fine, but I've never thought that a person carrying a concealed weapon should begin a confrontation, when they have no ties to any law enforcement.

Good point....CNN has fell out of favor for me, they keep dragging the Zimmerman thing out and make juror B37 look like a criminal herself! She did and mostly said the same things I felt having watched the trial closely.
