"911, what is your emergency?"
"There's a frickin big spider in my house!"
"Can you repeat that sir?"
"A spider! A GIANT-ASS SPIDER!"
"That's it?"
"It's gonna eat me! Send the whole squad!"
"...."
and to think my dream is to go to Australia and meet John Butler :|.............. ::sigh::gamergirl17
Wasn't he born in the US. He should get his hippie arse back to the States. I'm sure he would be accepted by the San Francisco crowd.
Thats kinda like howDaddy Long Legs are the most poisonous spiders in the world.[QUOTE="MarioRPGer"]

I've always been amused that the second most poisonous snake in the world resides in Australia and is called the common brown snake.

Well not quite as the poisonous variety of the "Daddy Long Legs" spiders are unable to penetrate the flesh of a human so the only way their poison could hurt you is if you were to milk a bunch of them and inject it into your body. The Brown Recluse on the other hand....
This has been disproven several times. Daddy long legs' venom is not dangerous to us humans, even if they could penetrate our skin.As a resident of Australia I would like to say that we are combating and baiting them with delicious cake all the while hoping we're not the ones to discover 'Spider Flu'.
Why all the Australia hate? Why?
Don't you all see this is the spiders plan to stop tourism in Australia?
EEeeeeeeeek!
Australia is known around the world for its large and deadly creepy crawlies, but even locals have been shocked by the size of the giant venomous spiders that have invaded an Outback town in Queensland.
Scores of eastern tarantulas, which are known as "bird-eating spiders" and can grow larger than the palm of a man's hand, have begun crawling out from gardens and venturing into public spaces in Bowen, a coastal town about 700 miles northwest of Brisbane.
I think God hates Australia. What more proof do you need than all the huge-ass spiders?

I'd catch it, put a collar on it and make that SPIDER my pet. The comment about the common brown spider made me LOL
if you live in the city and close suburbs there are no snakes... thats only in the bush and deserts... I live in australia..and i have never seen a snake...EVERRR!! (melbourne)I've always been amused that the second most poisonous snake in the world resides in Australia and is called the common brown snake.

That's not too bad. I remember I saw a spider bigger than my head. Almost like those head hopper in the movie Aliens. The web was across two trees and the I see every single thread clearly. That was rather scary. No one do anything to it because it is in a national park.magicalclickMy friend had one of those in his back yard when he was around 7, he said he walked up to it and it jumped on his head and latched on :'(
