God spoke to me last night - need Christians to guide me through this.

So god spoke to me last while I was about to go to bed. He said "Son, my follower, heed my words. The reason why you are single at the moment is because you aren't going church and finding a morally correct female. Unlike the witches and greed driven ones that society glorifies."

I almost had a heart-attack. It felt so real, to the point that I've began to think to leave my 7 week old "Vegan Humanism" Phylosophy in order to follow the lord.

I'm currently in a state of shock. Please help.

Guys but it's makes sense. I was loosing porpuse in a lot of things in my life, especially with women. I've been hitting on really hot and beautiful ones, but they are not the ones from the church. Holy ones.

I'm going to spare judgement on whether or not you really did hear God speak to you in this way. However, I will respond to what was apparently said with a word of caution and a word of exhortation. The caution is this, being single is not your problem and neither is a lack of going to church. Being in a relationship does not save you and nor does church. However, relationships that are centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Scripture, and a selfless love for one another is a remarkable thing. As for saying that you do not have this because of a lack of going to church, there is no cause and effect relationship between going to church and having a relationship. Too, an even greater caution is this, church does not save you but the one who died for the sake of the church does. Jesus is the one who pardons men, not your church attendance or good works. Jesus died to save the church, not vice versa. The exhortation is this, do indeed seek after the church and a "morally correct female" but seek even more after Jesus. Jesus is the hope of the world, not any future girlfriend.mindstorm
