Well ive juss decided to buy a new gun so i went with the all reliable glock 21
well wat u guys think?
i also have a glock 17 and kimber 1911 but if u want a good first time gun i will recommend the glock 17 perfect right from the box will never jam
bushidotu
Nice, Even though I don't care for the Glock because they are a bit tacky, they are good guns. They may not look flashy but they shoot great. Which is really what you want a gun to do. I prefer the G21 over the USP45. Not just because the price is better, also because the mags and parts are cheapers.
They don't have a control lever or a manual safety which is it's drawback, but that sucker is great for quick draws because of the glock action, which is Glock's plus side. Just adjust that trigger to 3-4 pounds and you'll be kicking some ass with that gun.
[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Great. Just don't use it.puremage1209yeah, whats the point of another one if you already have one?
I own several guns. I could easily ask.. Why do people have a billion movies and Music CDs when they only have enough time to listen to a few?
when i'm old enough i'll get any type of shotgun in case of teh zombies raid :oLemon-Demon35too much The Zombie Survival Guide...or...?
Glocks are great pistols. Have you took it to the range yet? Oh by the way, glocks are extremely reliable but i wouldn't say they never jam.

All guns jam. Machinery eventually lags or breaks down. As long as a pistol feeds 50-100 rounds per every jam it's fine. That's normal. I agree with you. Glocks are very reliable. They're right up there with Beretta, Browning, Heckler & Koch, Sig and Smith & Wesson

That be the truth. The more guns you own the further you get under the FBIs & ATFs microscope. Luckily because of were I worked my picture and signiture is all over class 3 weapons transfer forms. I met half a dozen ATF agents several times and know a few of them as well as anyone could. So I am not exactly a random nobody. So they don't give me much trouble. It's no big when and if they show up anyway. All they want to do is verify model a serial numbers. Though if you lend a gun to somebody that can become a real a pain in the butt.
I do agree, I think most people are terrified of guns, as if a gun is a grizzly bear. Some guns do go off on accident. Really cheap poorly designed guns discharge when they are dropped or struck with enough force, because the guns were poorly engineered. I know what you mean though. Someone doesn't just accidently shoot another person. There is a degree of carelessness and disregard involved.
If you don't know guns you shouldn't have any. Some people like to get a gun because they believe they will be able to intimidate an offender with it, but that's a dangerous sense of security. If you're not willing to shoot someone until they are neutralized, with no regret, that gun will create another problem.
You should know your gun inside and out like any other piece of mechanical equipment. Respect the gun, because it's very dangerous, so you must be careful with it. Disrespect leads to wreckless handling. It's a tool not a toy.
I was affraid of guns when I was a kid, but when my grand dad took me out with the model 15 and let me load and pop of some .38 Special a few dozen times I wasn't so frightened of guns anymore. As I grew up and began handling more loaded guns and carrying loaded guns I no longer feared them. A modern gun is just like a knife. It's 100% safe if you handle them properly. As long as you don't stab yourself the knife is harmless so just don't point the gun at yorself then engage the trigger and you'll be fine. As long as you don't shoot yourself you will be fine.
Maybe people don't trust themselves with a gun so they don't trust other people with a gun. Maybe they're affraid of what they might do intentionally if they had the gun.

They don't understand the freedom, because they've never had it. They seriously think they are safer, bcause they don't have guns. Apparently they don't realize how easy it is to kill another person without using a gun.
If I can trust a person not to burn my house down or shank me why can't I trust a person not to shoot me? If I I can trust a person not to put an arrow in me why can't I trust a person not to put a bullet in me?
As long as you don't give a person a reason to harm you they won't shoot you.
Besides our society is based on trust. I trust other people not to harm me. If they do they will be punished for it. Until that person violates their freedom they have the freedom and they are trusted with that freedom. Just like I trust you not rape a little girl and slit her throat. It's your responsibility.
I've never heard of a person who was determined to kill someone, but they declined because he couldn't find a gun.
Gun bans only keep guns out of the hands of citizens. They don't prevent gun smuggling & trafficing. Which is where the serious gangbanger and criminals get their hardware. They can always find a black market arms dealer.
It's just an example of how stupid people are. Some people were stabbed with knives that happend to be switch blades. So some citys made them illegal. As if that would stop stabbings. Switch blades are legal in my city but I can get in trouble if I am caught with it in another city. Knife manufacturers invented invented the open assist to get around that stupid stipulation. Instead of a switch you just flick your wrist. It's a stuipid regulation that's why many citys didn't adopt it. A knife is a knife.
That's right, take the guns away and you will be safe. No one will ever be able to hurt you. And nobody can build bombs with common everyday items either, cause you safe, because combustion is mind boggling. You need to be some kind of genius to understand the rudimentary principles of combustion.
So I take it none of you have ever built a potato gun or pumpkin cannon? Let's ban science for teaching us combustion, projection and mechanics. That's all a gun is. It's a simple mechanical device that uses the gas produced by combustion to project a piece of lead. Sam Colt was 16 when he designed his first gun. So anybody with a little know how and initiative can make one

Common sense tells me that the more guns there are, the more probable shootings are. If people are stupid enough to buy a gun and carry it around them in the street, they're probably stupid enough to use them too.
Plus, you say they are for self defence. Are you expecting to get mauled or something every time you leave the house?
So much for the land of the free; more like the land of the scared and insecure.
