Sure, posting is fun; however, it doesn't provide much in the way of points toward your Level percentage. After around 10 or so posts per day, only the count goes up - not your percentage.
So which do you work on more, Level or Post Count?

I would have to go with level on this one; some people tend to just spam in order to raise their post count.
I think post count says more about a user than level does. If you've managed to get 10k posts or up without getting banned, chances are you're a good user. On the other hand, it is possible to get to a high level without making a single post, so a high level user could still be an ******* if (s)he ever decides to go on the forums.

True to an extent, but the level doesn't say all that much either. I lurked to get to the level I am, and I wouldn't call that a good thing.
I doubt a user with +10K posts made all spam posts, most of the active people here seem pretty good to me.
Neither? Sometimes I look at join dates, but even then I don't put much thought into them unless its within like the last few months. A lot of people use the site but don't join until they run into a roadblock.
I've used the site since before it was gamespot and the only reason I made an account was because I needed to in order to download a patch or something.
Oddly.... my level. I am a chatterbox online and offline... so... I am not surprised by my post count. Even if I don't post much on a day, I will still try to browse the site to get my max cap daily.MistressMinako
I have to go with Min on this...I make sure to get my max cap as well.
I enjoy posting, however I don't want to be stuck in the same level getting maybe 0.1% (or 0.01%) per day.:P
Well, I guess you aren't important. Even with your green colored name...:P So go back to lurking...:xPost count indicates you contributed to the community here, so it's by far more important. I expect a higher level user to be more knowledgeable, but that's about it.
Nagru
What comes out of your fingers is important. Post count can be inflated, and level can be significantly lower due to stupid moddings.F1_2004I hear you, look at this example:

I read his blog, he payed 600 euro for his PS3, he needs to make himself feel better somehow
I got mod and obviously mad about it, here's the reason they mod me: "Reason: Moderator Discretion - None of this is relevant to the discussion. Do not target individual users with your remarks." So i went to my posting history and found his original post and report it to mods, then i got a message saying "thank you for notifying, but he didn't find a reason to moderate" something like that, i've deleted the message right away so i don't remember exactly. This is just to show how bias it can be, he "target individual user" 1st and as much as me, but apparently he didn't violated the TOS like i did...you are member since Feb 18, 2010 and already got 573 posts, who here needs to feel better about what? how do you get all this free time in your hands?

Neither.
I'd be about level 30 if it weren't for the inactivity and point loss moderations. I just DGAF ;)
None. I really couldn't care less about either one. I'm not voting either.
