GS Level vs. Post Count - which is more important iyo?

Sure, posting is fun; however, it doesn't provide much in the way of points toward your Level percentage. After around 10 or so posts per day, only the count goes up - not your percentage.

So which do you work on more, Level or Post Count?

Post count indicates you contributed to the community here, so it's by far more important. I expect a higher level user to be more knowledgeable, but that's about it.

I would have to go with level on this one; some people tend to just spam in order to raise their post count.

I'm suppose to be around a Level 50 but the moderations got me down, plus posting means you're keep this site alive, so I go with post count.

I think post count says more about a user than level does. If you've managed to get 10k posts or up without getting banned, chances are you're a good user. On the other hand, it is possible to get to a high level without making a single post, so a high level user could still be an ******* if (s)he ever decides to go on the forums.

True to an extent, but the level doesn't say all that much either. I lurked to get to the level I am, and I wouldn't call that a good thing.

I doubt a user with +10K posts made all spam posts, most of the active people here seem pretty good to me.

Post history is most important to me.

Neither? Sometimes I look at join dates, but even then I don't put much thought into them unless its within like the last few months. A lot of people use the site but don't join until they run into a roadblock.

I've used the site since before it was gamespot and the only reason I made an account was because I needed to in order to download a patch or something.

Oddly.... my level. I am a chatterbox online and offline... so... I am not surprised by my post count. Even if I don't post much on a day, I will still try to browse the site to get my max cap daily.MistressMinako

I have to go with Min on this...I make sure to get my max cap as well.

I enjoy posting, however I don't want to be stuck in the same level getting maybe 0.1% (or 0.01%) per day.:P
