A: Police don't prosecute crimes, the courts do.
B: If she wasn't famous the media wouldn't be reporting it. That doesn't mean he wouldn't be prosecuted.

You can bet your ass he wouldn't be looking at 121 years though.
He is charged with something like 25 counts. That 121 years is if he's convicted on all counts, and if he's sentenced to the maximum for each count, and if he's ordered to serve each sentence consecutively, rather than concurrently (as is the usual). That's a whole lot of "if" there.
I understand. But this is severely overinflated.

That works out to around five years per count. Not really what I'd call "severely overinflated".

[QUOTE="MistressMinako"]Well, don't put anything on your computer/website/etc thinking that it won't get stolen. This is as much as her fault as it is his. Besides, she is very attractive. She should take this as a compliment.MistressMinako
So I guess you'd be cool with someone getting nude photos of you and plastering them on the internet?
Well, did I know the pictures were taken? If so, then no but that was my fault for being careless. Once people have a hold of those they can do whatever, even if it is against the law. I would still probably try to get them arrested but I will still feel like it was partly my fault.Unless you were referring to the her being attractive so it is cool portion, I was actually kidding about that. I just thought people would think I was joking, sorry.
Here's the thing...he stole her pictures, but it's far from likely that that's the only information that he acquired access to. To repeat...this is NOT about "pictures". It is about illegally hacking in order to obtain access to their personal information. You might be careful enough to not take nude pictures of yourself, but I'll wager that you probably have SOME kind of personal data in storage that you don't want getting out to the public. You can go on and talk about how it's those celebrities' fault for taking those pictures in the first place. But what if it wasn't someone hacking in order to obtain a celebrity's nude pictures, and was instead someone hacking into YOUR private **** in order to obtain access to stuff like your name/address or financial information.
