Gyms are designed to make ppl loose weight and be healthy. This is an offense and clearly contradicts the meaning of "going to the gym."HemmaroidsI will only repeat what just about every other responder in this thread said. At her weight, she posed a danger to the gym's equipment and herself. Besides, at her weight dieting and brisk walks are the best way to start her weight loss attempts. She doesn't need a gym. Also, gyms aren't designed exclusively for weight loss. Weight gain (muscle gain) is a main attempt of many people who go to the gym, especially for the males.
I'd say if the equipment has a posted/expressed weight limit, it's fine. Otherwise, she has a point.
WHOA, going to a gym, a lady that size? She should just start with jumping up and down first.
I don't mean to be mean but no one gains 400 pounds through pregnancy. She sounds like she just wants attention. I'm on the gym's side, equipment is costly and a gym is not a necessity to lose weight, especially for a morbidly obese person.
