Apply the half plus eight rule...
Half your age... Add 8... If she is younger than the number it's wrong...
dude that doesnt work.. thats older than i am!acedawg13
 Well if you like each other.. 2 years is a big thing when your young.. when your older 2 years means nothing.
Yeah, that's weird. I'm the same age as you and a 14/15 year old dating a 12/13 year old is really weird, not a big enough difference to be gross, but big enough to be strange. A 12 year old is WAY too young for dating anybody.i like this girl... shes in 7th grade... and im in 9th grade

No, it won't work. If the ages where different (31, 33) it would be different, as they are both mature adults who know what they are doing. However, this girl probably hasn't entered pubity yet, and your finishing it, so no.linkthewindow
what he said.
Well, girls tend to go for older boys, or so it seems.SolidSnake35
yeah but 7th grade is cutting it a little tight. Anyways, imo, if you have to ask, then dont do it. I try to stay as far away from Jhonny Law as possible.

Well, considering females mature faster and start puberty at an earlier age, they could possibly be on the same level. He might aslo be a little bit of a late bloomer. Ulimtately it's impossible to tell considering we know neither of them.

18/2=9
9+8=17
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Two of my really good friends are with girls two years younger, and I know more guys that are with younger girls also.
The only problem with that is they are always shy around your older friends, it can create some awkward moments.
Nothing wrong with it at all, I mean grade 9 and 7 to me is a but young, but in Highschool/college/older years it's all game.

Totally agree, but lol@ "pubity"

9th grade puts him at about 15 years old.
Which means that half of that is 7.5
7.5+8=15.5
That's older than he is. By your rule, he's not even allowed to date people the same frigging age as him.

That must be the prude edition of the rule. Designed specifically for use by children with over-protective parents.
Answer this question - would it be weird for a 25 year old to date a 23 year old? Yes, age is more important when a person is younger because of maturity issues and so forth, but I see no problem with a grade 9 student dating a grade 7 student. It'll just fall apart like nearly all other teenager relationships anyways.pianist
The problem is if the relationship lasts long enough for him to reach the age of sexual consent.
Once that happens, his girlfriend will NOT be at the age of sexual consent.
Which means that he will then be risking being labelled as a sexual predator for thew rest of his life.

True. But if you care so much about a relationship, presumably you'd be willing to do what's necessary to ensure the relationship survives (in this case abstaining from sex until both partners are of legal age). Being in jail makes it difficult to continue the relationship.
It's probably not a concern anyways. The chances of this relationship lasting until he's 18 are marginal at best.
