Well, you have to make the work by yourself to be able to do it again. This is especially true for physics, chemistry, math, etc. Seeing someone else doing it doesn't help nearly as much.

my calculus teacher gives homework everynight, but only check the homework once every 2 weeks, so my friend tells me if he checks it, i'll do it. So i might have done 14 homework assignments in math class, and im passing with a 92, just got my report card yesterdaypageiszepplin

I put in such a half-a**ed effort in AP Calc, he doesn't collect our homework at all. First semester i did it, but this semester ill spend maybe 10 mins on hw, and then quit. I get by though, come test time ill do alittle review(plus i have a tendency to guess really well), i have like a 79% average on tests, and an 82 in that class.

Lol, my comments weren't actually aimed at you, but I think your poor spelling in a thread criticising education techniques didn't help :roll:

Correcting homework isn't useless, how do you know if you're right or not without it? When it takes the whole lesson, it's not normal.

Do you guys realize that if there wasn't homework, most people would fail miserably? Maybe not you, of course, if you're as smart as you're saying.

Doing homework in high school also has the purpose to prepare you for university homework. As I said, there's no way you can pass a university exam fast enough if you didn't practice enough, even if you know everything there is to know, unless of course it's an english exam. The goal in university isn't to pass. The better you do, the better your record is.

You're a product of a culture that promotes over working yourself and becoming miserable.

And you're wrong Homework is not necessary. I never did homework once in High School or college. But I'd always get an A on my test. Amazing.. really, nope. You know what I did? I paid attention in class and that's how easy it is.

A good teacher can teach you everything you need to know during class. Homework is for the people who don't pay attention to begin with and then sit around at 7 am copying their friends answers. At least thats what 90% of the people I see doing.

Oh, did you know Humans are more dependant on copycatting each other than primates are? Amusing hey.. and we proclaim to be the most intelligent species. I think not. Have fun being the only animal on the planet to choose to deprive themselves of sleep. Maybe that's why you're so stupid to begin with, you don't sleep enough. You spend excessive amounts of time living up to unreasonable expectations and will eventually find yourself in a office job at 40 wondering what you're doing with your life.. while everyone around you gossips and spreads rumours.

Of course I know all this that's why I live alone and work less than 3 hours a day.
