If a black guy says something about the white race, it's not racisist, but if a white guy does the same thing except with a different race, it is considered racist.

I'm going to be really, really honest here with my response, and it may sound REALLY rascist but hey, that's the subject matter, isn't it?
Whenever someone of another race tries to put me down by calling me a 'cracker' or 'snowflake' or what have you, all I can help to think to this is, 'Well yeah, you're right, I am white. Am I supposed to be offended?'
I don't see anything to be offended about when someone calls me a racial name, I'm proud of my ethnicity and can only laugh when someone tries putting me down for it because they're so insecure about THEIR own ethnicity.
Have some self pride in yourself.
there is plenty of racism for the white race, everyone just thinks its justified.ferret-gamerHmm..this.
"White" isn't a race."Black" isn't a race either.

We're all equal even though we look different right? :)
This thread seems like a trap set by "The Man"...so I'm gonna stay out of it....Omni-Slash
don't worry i'm a conservative

No, we are the human race. So, yeah, equality amongst humans.i've witness PLENTY of anti-white racism.
I went to an public school that was in the suburbs, but for some reason alot of inner city kids who were mostly black attended the school en mass (nothing wrong with that, I had many black friends) so I happened to witness mush racism, very outspoken racism too.
*edit* wow typos lol.
I love when people use the term "reverse racism," makes me laugh.bluezy
the term itself is kind of racist. if not just completely ignorant.
Slavery. /thread Our pasts and still at times today, many whites tend to believe they are the dominate race. So we are supposed to take racist comments toward us because of the horrors we have instilled. *Note* I do not agree with what I said, it is just something I have observed.Avistann
Yeah. I certainly don't have any guilt on my mind with regards to racism. Sure, Caucasians have done horrific things to people. You could say the same thing of any group of humans on the planet. No group of people is innocent of racism or from bloodshed due to the acts of their ancestors. Caucasians tend to be targeted because the USA was founded and is still dominated by a white majority. Easy target.
Racism exists among all people against all people...even though when our skin is cut, we bleed the same. The only place racism toward whites doesn't exist is in the media...because it would be politically incorrect to do so.

personally I'm just horrible with directions....term just makes me get lost...:?I love when people use the term "reverse racism," makes me laugh.bluezyi agree, people think "racism" is a word unique to the Caucasian people and when other races do it, it is something else completely
So you mean to tell me, if an African-American calls you a racial slur (assuming you are caucasian) you don't consider it racist? If a black guy says something about the white race, it's not racisist, but if a white guy does the same thing except with a different race, it is considered racist.

There is a ton of it. Whites just seem more resilient to it. It does not seem to phase white people. While other races seem to throw a temper tantrum about it.SinfulPotato
You could argue that we haven't really had many real problems with it, other than when we were a new country and were racist against eachother (the irish were mistreated etc...)
there is plenty of racism for the white race, everyone just thinks its justified.ferret-gameryeah unfortunatly people living today are somehow considered responsible for what happened to black people many years before we were born
There's alot of racism towards the white race. Just watch The Boondocks or Chappelle's Show.lol

I really can't stand that show...
It's called double standards.

this man speaks the truth. it's like how a man can have sex with 100s of women and most would call him "Da Man" but if a woman have sex with 100s of men she called a whore. but in all fairness both are equally wrong just like racisism of any kind is wrong. thx:) norm
i've noticed this. White's accept it. For example Blacks call whites crackers sometimes and Whites don't care but if you say. (sorry if this is bad mods) "the n word" then Blacks will get mad. It's just that whites think they are superior and when someone puts their race down they ignore it thinking they are just jealous. Link334I dont think that last bit is true
[QUOTE="megahaloman64"]So you mean to tell me, if an African-American calls you a racial slur (assuming you are caucasian) you don't consider it racist? I think "African-American" is more of a racist term. You're assuming all black people come from Africa. Ideally people wouldn't be tiptoeing around each other like this.If a black guy says something about the white race, it's not racisist, but if a white guy does the same thing except with a different race, it is considered racist.

it's ridiculous.
I would love for someone who thinks whites of today are responsiple for slavery to try and prove that my ancestors supported slavery.
for all they know my ancestors came from europe after slavery ended. even IF they did support slavery, I'm still not responsiple, at all.
Everyone should watch the episode of Penn & Teller BS that talks about this issue.

Then why should "black" be? Or "cracker"? Or indeed the N word? They're all means to describe who we are.Honestly that seems to be the only racism I hear about lately, why do white people keep playing the race card/Hope I didn't hurt you.

Why? Or a more significant question to me, how do either of those shows demonstrate racism towards the white race? Please Log In to post.
