I'll repeat myself---

From a Medical Point of View - the best advice is a Depo Shot.

More importantly, you should speak to a counselor as to why you feel you need to become A-Sexual. Or a Priest if its for Religious reasons.

Xsan3

Castration is a recurring theme in this thread so ...

I'll say castration.

Joshywaa
Castration/chemical castration doesn't really work in humans guys. All it does is keep a man from having erections during sleep. He's still completely capable of getting aroused and reaching orgasm though. His urges may not come as often/be as intense, but they'll still be there.

It's much easier to become apathetic than it is to become asexual, so take baby steps, and I wish you all the best.

Ur correct - What happens when ur Testicles are removed Or the Idea of Injecting Female hormones into a Male - - The Overall idea is to lower a Man's Testosterone.
Or the Inability to Produce Testoterone - like in an inhibiter - Like Depo.
They'll be overly emotional or Most likely Feeling Lack of Self Worth..Deep state of Depression - or Suicide. Keeps them from Molesting or Assaulting othrs though . .

Of course our Bodies create both Testosterone and Estrogen - But Males create more Testosterone than women and Vice-Versa. So if our Testosterone Takes a Huge dive - Our Estrogen begins to Increase . I suppose it is possible for a Male to compromise, But usually we begin to lower our testosterone as we get older.

I'm not sure you understood what i was asking... people who are on Depo-provera aren't depressed until they stop taking it, are they? it is to my knowledge, that people who undergo sex changes only feel 'depressed' for a couple of weeks until they adapt to the new hormones.

What happens when a human's testicles are removed? Nothing, except that a guy no longer has nocturnal tumescence and is infertile for obvious reasons. Testosterone isn't necessary to maintain to a maintain a human male's sexual interest. It, along with other androgens, is necessary to make a male interested in sex in the first place, but once their sex drive is "turned on" in puberty it's "on" for life. The other great apes are like this too. If you physically castrate a chimpanzee, for example, it will still continue to have sex for at least five years afterward. Unsurprisingly, drug treatment doesn't keep sex offenders from reoffending. If you look at their sexual activity they're still just as active. The only difference is that they don't actively seek out sex anymore. They do, however, still get easily aroused when they run into something that would normally arouse them.

The testosterone change in males and females with oestrogen happens naturally as we get older, yeah, because there's a point we stop being fertile. oestrogen in females cause our eggs to be fertile and to leave the ovaries etc etc etc, while testosterone helps making semen in the testies. Testosterone is one of the factors of an aggressive temper, because aggression is one of the old parts of our instincts that make a man smell like a man, pheromones and such, which makes you attractive to females.

Because there's a difference to sweat and sweat from having worked out. If you just sit all day and smell, it's not a good scent. But if you've been working out for a while and have a healthy, natural musk to your smell, women will get attracted to you if you're compatible - gene wise and your immune-system.

It's the same. You got a sweat going, you've been breathing hard. Sex-sweat actually contains healthy hormones that makes you and your partner satisfied, as well as strengthens your immune systems.

If you knew anything about endocrinology, you would know that without androgen production there is no estrogen production since all estrogens are created by metabolizing androgens. For example, estradiol is created when testosterone is metabolized by aromatase. It can also be made by converting estrone to estradiol via 17 beta hydroxysteriod dehydrogenase, but in order to get estrone you need to convert androstenediol to it using aromatase. Finally, estriol is created when you react estradiol with 16 alpha hydroxylase, or via an indirect pathway with estrone.

So no, estrogen production does not increase when you castrate a man. Quite the opposite actually.

[QUOTE="Baconbits2004"]i thought that was just temporary until their body adjusted?

Baconbits2004

No--U'd need to take a Testosterone Supplement . There is a Birth Control for men, that Blocks Sperm Reproduction...And also Drops ur Testosterone...And if you're on that - then its Highly recommended to take a Testosterone Supp - but most Remarks are taht Your Chemical imbalance is completely Off - and Emotions run wild..Hard for men to adapt to Lack of Testosterone...

Apathy isn't fun. I pretend to give a **** about people just so i can have some personality. Eaiser? seems that way but its not. Also you can't choose sexuality.

You don't. You are what you are and your nature is unavoidable.

Not caring leaves you with the yearning to care...but you can't...and you want to...and you try to..but you still can't..

It strikes me that you're not being apathetic if you have a 'yearning to care.'

Yearning for something you can't do?...Do we not all yearn for something we can't have/do?..

Yes but you're being apathetic; you're not supposed to care enough to long for it. >_>

Being apathetic is impossible unless you have mental problems. So, you shouldn't want to be apathetic. I imagine the same is true with asexuality.

[QUOTE="needled24-7"]

i'd imagine not, just like you can't choose to be homosexual.

Xsan3

Most people say that - But you actually DO Choose to a Homosexual.

The only thing that Makes someone a Homosexual - Is to have Sex with teh Same Sex..Obvious Right?

Now - You may not have control of Who you are attracted to , but as far as your Choice whether or not to have sex with someone is Always your Choice...Unless you're raped of course..

No, the only thing that makes someone a homosexual is being attracted to the same sex.

[QUOTE="Deihjan"]You can choose to become apathetic.th3warr1or
How do I do that?

Just accept that everything will be what it's going to be and anything you do won't have any impact. Essentially treat life like a movie that is completely impossible to alter. If you can't make any impact on the world you'll stop being emotionally connected to it as no matter what you feel the world will continue as it was going to anyway. Can't really say being apathetic is beneficial. It may help in the short term but if you become truely apathetic it will become impossible to stop yourself as you won't care enough to change yourself.
