I don't know if I've ever eaten a hotdog in front of my friends, but I'm sure I'd just pick it up and eat it. Thankfully my friends aren't 13 years old so there wouldn't be any rude comments coming from them.
You have to put it in all at once. Make sure it goes deep down your throat. You should also have look of pure ecstasy on your face. When you are done, you should slowly lick your lips while everybody is watching you. That will make everybody comfortable.

Anyway I think this insecurity is stupid. Boys who like to act all manly by making jokes about the way their friends eat hot-dogs and the innuendos they think make them look cool. >__>
Just eat it, one bite at a time. No reason to have hangups on the phallic nature of hot dogs - do you feel uncomfortable eating sausages, bananas, long licorice, corn dogs, popsicles, or other penis-shaped foods in front of your friends, too?
well if its in a bun, I eat it like a taco. Tilt my head to the left, and take an aggressive bite.
if its just the dog, well, eat it like a banana. But dont forget to tease it with your lips and tongue first while looking your friends in the eye. Better flavor that way

I have the feeling there's something you're not telling us. Something you're uncomfortable talking about. If you don't confront this problem you have with eating hot dogs, it's just going to bother you for the rest of your life. O_O
