At all those passing judgement already, nothing his administration has done thus far has turned any significant results, its way too early to tell if he is doing well. Think Truman.

Lol, at all those passing judgement, nothing his administration has done has turned any significant results, its way to early to tell.

Well, I don't know about that.
His spending might ultimately lead to a collapse of the dollar and rob the middleclass of all it's savings (unless they've invested in gold)
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]He's doing well. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can classify him as doing really well or really poorly before we can even see the results of his actions.kingyotoXLook at his plans for the future and you can tell he's doing poorly. The last time I checked, he's doing pretty much what he promised to do during the campaign. Now, let's consider the fact that I voted for him. See where I'm going with this?
Obama is another Bush without histeleprompter. HE SUCKS!!! He is violating our constitutional rights and is bringing an economic collapse.
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]The last time I checked, he's doing pretty much what he promised to do during the campaign. Stevo_the_gamerHe did one helluva job on that earmark reform. Oh wait... :D
Oh no.
Oh, wait, earmark reform, all things considered, really isn't that important :P.
Oh, wait, earmark reform, all things considered, really isn't that important :P.chessmaster1989True. I mean... meh, what's billions of dollars worth anyways anymore? Might as well waste it, eh?;)
If there is any inflation, it would coupled with lower employment (unless there is a supply shock). There isn't going to be a scenario of too much money chasing too few goods, especially with the lackluster amount of spending on the part of the U.S.[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"][QUOTE="Dark-Sithious"]
Spitting trillions of dollars into the economy will increase inflation, thus the buying power of the averagee American hard earned money will be reduced. Maybe even the dollar will crash, who knows.
The various bailouts doesn't seem to have had a huge impact, and soon you will pay the price...
Dark-Sithious
If there is any inflation?
Well, first of all there is always inflation regardless of the bailouts, however you don't need a degree in economics to understand increased printing of money will reduce the buying power of the dollar. More money in circulation means less buying power, a pretty simple concept. Too look at how much the buying power of the dollar has reduced the last 10 years, you can look at the price of gold the last 10 years, the price has increased almost 400%
Considering the GPD of the United States is around 14 trillion if I'm not mistaken, and the bailouts are alreadyup to, or will be 12-13trillion dollars(if I'm not mistaken), then we are looking at a pretty vast increase in printing of money, and inflation will naturally rise.
And I have no reasons to believe they will stop spending money, and you are potentially looking at a hyperinflation, however it will take some time before you really feel the bang.
Me personally, think we are just beginning to feel the economic collapse, by the end of this year it will be a total disaster, god help us all.
If you have any money, I'd reccomend buying gold. Regardless of our finicial situation the value of gold, always stands the test of time
You have a very superficial understanding of economics. The enemy right now is deflation, and that is why the Fed has begun implementing quantitative easing to reflate the economy and avoid substantial deflation. You can pump all the money you want into the economy, but it won't have a very high velocity (and the total money supply wouldn't increase) if the banks aren't lending which means a negative inflation rate (i.e. deflation). If and when the banks start lending again, yes there may be very moderate inflation, but that will be coupled with economic growth and lower unemployment as the economy will be moving towards full output. Its time, Obama has been president long enough to have a general idea of him, and what he is doing.
I think he is doing a pretty bad job so far, he has already broken a few promises and reminds me of bush everyday.
Particularly this
"President Barack Obama invoked "state secrets" to prevent a court from reviewing the legality of the National Security Agency's warantless wiretapping program, moving late Friday to have a lawsuit that challenged the program dismissed"

while I am dissapointed with this bit of news and his lack of tact in gift giving (though that one is more of a joke than an actual concern) I am for the most part feeling good about what he is doing. He approved the bailout saving millions of jobs, he is working on shutting down Guantanamo and (hopefully) pulling troops out of Iraq. Also even thoughhisplanto rid the world of nukes will never work, less nukes is always a good thing. Not to mention he wants to combat global warming which is an issue that has been bothering me since about third grade.
All that being said however I still think it is far too soon to judge him being a president cause he might still end up sucking.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Gloabl Warming is BS. It is made up so the government can impose carbon tax on the people. Tax on cow flatulence anyone? Yes, it is made up by the government...and about 90% of climatologists...Global Cooling in the 70's was the product of sensationalism by policy makers and had no real legitimate scientific support. Global warming (and the idea that humanity is one of the main contributers of global warming) on the other hand has an immense amount of scientific support.[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]Oh, wait, earmark reform, all things considered, really isn't that important :P.Stevo_the_gamerTrue. So basically you want the budget to be balanced (it was a fixation to balance the budget that prolonged the Great Depression) and you want the employer to control everything (which would only lead to wage slavery). What! I want the USA to continue spending money we don't have -- balance the budget? Lower our debt? Who the hell would want that to happen! Didn't you read what I posted! Sheesh. Why would I want the employer to control everything! I want the unions to be all-powerful! I want my president to bow down to the union's demands! All hail Obama -- our savior! What did you want Obama to do? Wish away the debt? Do you really think Obama wanted to spend hundreds of billions on stabilizing our financial industry? No. The purpose of the bailouts was to rescue our institutions, not reduce the debt (that will come in time), because our economy is more important than national debt issues. And fyi, if a government doesn't spend money, there can be no government. Since we do not have a surplus, we have to borrow it from somewhere. Think of China as our national bank.[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"][QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Very good! I hope we increase the deficit tenfold. Hell, printing more trillions will be great too! I can't wait for the unions to control everything either! How about the government being able to set your pay? Yeah, baby! Obama is our savior!Stevo_the_gamer

So far he's doing fine, but it really hasn't been long enough. I want to wait until he's been in office at least a year before I pass any real judgement. All these people though who pretend, or even truly believe, he caused all of these problems we're dealing with now are imbeciles.
Some of you are so unaware of the crap he and the administrattion are pulling. Watch "The Obama Deception" on youtube and you will get some idea.

Clearly we are gonna trust a site called "global warming hoax".. Instead of the directly appointed cabinet of scientists Bush chose to set out to disprove global warmings.. What happened you say? Many of the insanely high expectations beset upon him could not be met. Obama is not a God. Man just overestimated how his abilities, and how long it takes for the legislation process to "turn our country around" so to speak. As soon as I saw the media calling him Lincoln reincarnated, I knew there would be a lot of disappointed people. It simply wasn't the reality. At this point, the people who haven't defected are mostly the blind followers, or rational supporters who haven't judged him yet (like me). I found it interesting though that most of Europe still supports Obama tremendously. That just goes to show you how different our politics are. Right now I'm just glad we have someone in the white house that can speak fluently.
