Also, I'm looking at the demographic breakdown...20% of white evangelical Protestants apparently do not know who Moses is? And33% don't know what the Ten Commandments are? And 7% of Mormons don't know who Joseph Smith was?
Those seem like rather basic points of knowledge. :P
it'd be great if the server worked..comp_atkinsAs a daily listener of All Things Considered, I've never been so disappointed in the PewPewPew Center :(

I found that refreshing resolves the problem. Although it gets kind of annoying having to refresh like ten times to finish the survey.
Website won't load for me, but I can't believe so many people got the Sabbath one wrong. . .TheokhothWell those of us who forget to read every word miss the word 'begin'

I forget the exact name of the event in question, but the answer was Jonathan Edwards.
Given that like 8% of the population got that one right, and given that almost everyone here has claimed to have gotten it right... I'm getting the sense that either some people are lying or I missed an important class one day in school. I'd honestly never even heard of the event or the person in question.
[QUOTE="comp_atkins"][QUOTE="GabuEx"]same here. I can't remember now what the last question was :( something about the first great awakening? i don't know wtf that is. damn you 15 years of catholic school eduksashun!14/15. I had no idea on the last question.

Oh, right; I actually do remember that, covered it in 11th grade English; for some reason, Jonathan Edward's "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" made a strong impression on me; probably just my sympathy for those suffering God's wrath :PHave the same problem[QUOTE="Rougehunter"]

I did that, took forever and got 7/15.XDOh, right; I actually do remember that, covered it in 11th grade English; for some reason, Jonathan Edward's "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" made a strong impression on me; probably just my sympathy for those suffering God's wrath :Pxaos
Oh, that guy. I know the sermon well, but must've forgotten the guy's name.

14/15. The beginning of the Sabbath threw me off. (I almost went with Friday too :() The rest were easy.
It was mentioned in my Advanced Placement History course, I don't think it came up in the standard ones.I have to ask the people in this thread: is the First Great Awakening a standard part of the American educational curriculum? I feel dumb that I had no idea about that. :P

I took the test. It finally worked for me. I got a 14. The question I missed was the one about the Catholic Church's teaching about bread and wine for Communion. Honestly, I find that pretty far-fetched that they believe that the bread and wine are literally Jesus's body and blood. I should've gotten that right, because I wonder why they even put that question there unless Catholics actually believed that the bread and wine are Jesus's body and blood. It's not noteworthy if they had thought it was figurative.Genetic_CodeAccording to The Daily Beast 4 out of 10 Catholics got that question wrong.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is, or at least it was in mine.I have to ask the people in this thread: is the First Great Awakening a standard part of the American educational curriculum? I feel dumb that I had no idea about that. :P

I try to avoid religious contact so I would be ignorant, I don't know why I just kind of think religion is annoying.
As an atheist I find it fascinating. Actually faith in general, whether it is political, cultural, or religious is very interesting.I try to avoid religious contact so I would be ignorant, I don't know why I just kind of think religion is annoying.

Well if you look at it in the standpoint of it being a story, but for some reason I feel embarassed to watch shows about religion and I can't get out of my head that people take this stuff seriously.

I just guessed on that question. :P However, I have heard the name "Edwards" before, so I just guessed that.Looks like Jewish, Atheist/Agnostic, and Mormons had the overall high score on the test. My scoreis 87% (13 out of 15 correct) and I am Mormon.
