I haven't seen these:

The Awful Truth (1937)
The Crime of Monsieur Lange (1936)
The Crowd (1928)
Day for Night (1973)

Kandahar (2001)

Léolo (1992)

Mouchette (1967)

Nayakan (1987)

Pyaasa (1957)

Talk to Her (2002)

Sort of surprised to see The Singing Detective in there as it was a TV mini-series but it makes me happy because it's so damn good.I never did watch that shortened theatre version starring Robert Downey Jr., but I didn't hear good things so probably so much the better.

The real question should be why wouldn't The Decalogue be on there :P I think mini-series are pretty much considered films if every episode is made by the same filmmaker which is why Decalogue, Berlin Alexanderplatz, and The Singing Detective made the list. Which choices in particular do you find odd?

I don't consider it to be one long film. It's a mini-series. But I'm not complaining.

Just a few inclusions from certain directors (Ingmar Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night; no Wild Strawberries.) It's better than most lists. Just some surprising films.

Yeah I guess they were trying to be as non-cliched as possible, like they already put down Persona so the next Bergman they chose had to be a more underrated one. BTW you didn't say how many you've seen on here.

A lot of old movies I doubt anyone's seen (or even watches for any reason other than "yeah I watched (old movie). You probably haven't heard of it...") on that list. Which makes the inclusion of "Finding Nemo" all the more hilarious.
