These are movies I've seen that are not even in the same league as Seven Samurai >_>
Also His Girl Friday straight-up blows
Just accept the fact that they chose Yojimbo over Seven Samurai as the Kurosawa samurai film:P

Star Wars > Seven Samurai; deal with it. :P
Also, Seven Samurai isn't even Kurosawa's best. >_> I'll give you His Girl Friday blowing, though.
Only 16, counting LOTR as one.
And you people are freaking insane, His Girl Friday is great. Doesn't deserve to be on this list, but it's great.
Only seen these and I was expecting Seven Samurai to show up on the list. There were some movies on Time's list that I'd like to see, just never found the time.
3 ... and that includes Blade Runner, which I was forced to watch for school ...daqua_99I wish my school forced me to watch Blade Runner :P

Same here, one of my favorite movies.
I have seen these:
but many of those movies listed i have never heard of in my life.
About 16 that I'm sure of
Barry Lyndon (1975)
Blade Runner (1982)
Brazil (1985)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Chinatown (1974)
Dr. Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
8 1/2 (1963)
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (1982)
Finding Nemo (2003)
The Godfather, Parts I and II (1972, 1974)
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
The Lord of the Rings (2001-03)
Miller's Crossing (1990)
Schindler's List (1993)
Some Like It Hot (1959)
Star Wars (1977)
4 and I only liked 2 of them I'm glad I haven't seen most of those. I don't really see any appeal in watching old movies. There are probably a handful more on there I'd like if I saw them, but most of them would bore me to death.
Ones I've seen:
Blade Runner (1982)
Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Dr. Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)
A Hard Day's Night (1964) - I probably watched this many years ago, I can't remember.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) - pretty sure I watched this a long time ago, but I can't remember anything except I thought it was boring.
It's a Wonderful Life (1946) - I probably sat through this, I don't really remember.
King Kong (1933)
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
The Lord of the Rings (2001-03)
The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)
Pinocchio (1940) - Probably saw this as I kid, can't remember.
Psycho (1960)
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Star Wars (1977)
Unforgiven (1992)
Drunken Master II
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Finding Nemo
The Lord of the Rings
Star Wars

Just because it has movies you haven't heard of? -_-
Pirate700
If Pirate hasn't heard of it, it must suck.
Where did I say if I haven't seen the movie, it sucks? Oh yeah, I didn't.You said you've only heard of a few movies on the list.
You also said the list was horrendous.
How do you know that the list was horrendous if you've only heard of a small fraction of it?

I know stand by me was so boring I didn't even finish it. But then it wouldn't be fair of me to dismiss it since I haven't seen the whole movie.Where did I say if I haven't seen the movie, it sucks? Oh yeah, I didn't.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

I've only seen seven on that list and only heard of a few more. Horrendous list.
Pirate700
He never said you said the movies suck. He said you think the list sucks, which is true.
Again, where did I say any of the movies on the list suck since you chose to make that assumption of my opinion... Ok you're right. IMPLIED was the word he should've used. Eh just because a movie is obscure doesn't make it great. Though it does make people assume they are part of a trendy underground.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]
