Well, one was when i was a kid (11), but i think it doesn't count because it wasn't really serious. Also, does it count when they tell you that they have a boyfriend, and i'm talking about having a real boyfriend, not something they just use to reject you. Because if it does count, then i have really lost the count :P :|

Asking them out is rather easy once you've had some contact first, just ask it casually. Many times a girl I liked I simply asked out as we saw eachother in passing. Well not so much asking out as saying something along the lines of: "You look like you might be fun to go on a date with" if she is somewhat attracted she will either tease or ask when. When they tease, don't back down, but don't go any further than that you just -think- it -might be- fun to go out with her. There's alot more theory behind it but I figure you guys probably wouldn't succesfully pull-off seduction, so why bother.

As for the failure rate, it's rather low, I've been on many dates with many different women, but I'm also rather picky (which adds to the success rate in more way than one). A last tip: Don't be a nice guy.

actually last tip should have read: DON'T BE A PUSHOVER. You can be nice, but don't let them take advantage of it. And they most certainly will try.

at work are they older? I mean, what's wrong with an older person? Unless it's a personality thing. Since age differences can affect that a lot, even when an adult.
