I don't work out at all anymore, I stopped a year ago when I finished sports in high school. But before that I trained about 6 hours a day running, lifting, push ups etc. I'm still incredibly ripped but I'm skinny, 5'8 130 lbs. I started yesterday doing push ups and sit ups but I don't feel like it tonight, I probably won't get into a routine because f*** it man:P I'm not in sports what do I need to be incredibly in shape for?
[QUOTE="chansaet"][QUOTE="agpickle"]
Outside of PE classes (havent had one in two years), never. Occasional walks at most. I'm very skinny and only weigh 110 pounds.
How tall r you?5'8 was the last I knew, that was probably almost a year ago.
Man that is to skinny. You should atleast weigh 140+.So far it seems to be to much people are in great shape. Most people should fall into the average. Come on people just be honest unless if the unfit people are avoiding the threatchansaet
You'd be surprised. This past year I've noticed that going to the gym is the new going to the mall. I don't know how it's gotten so popular but I rarely see many out of shape adolescences anymore.

IDK if that were true there wouldn't be all this talk about obesity in america espically in kids. Plus when you go swimming you can tell that most people aren't fit. Not at all.4 times a week for 2 and a half or 3 hours. I'm not in great shape but I'm decent, focused more in losing fat than to build muscle.DarthkaiserHows that going? I lost 75 pounds (I used to weigh 210) so if you want some advice I am more than willing to give you some advice.

I know I have no clue what he's talking about. He must live in a strange city where everyone is in shape. Most people I see are really out of shape. Espcially kids. So much kids are way too overweight.[QUOTE="Jolt_counter119"]

Well I guess it depends where you live. 9.75 out of 10 people I can tell are 30 or older are fat. But I see maybe a couple fat early to late teenagers, most are not at all overweight.

It has to be a strange city. That's good though. However there is a major difference between someone who is normal weight and someone who is fit. Skinny does not mean fit. That's y I assume there should be way more people who are normal weight rather than in great shape, but then again maybe people think there in better shape than they actually are.I play drums at least 2 hours a day, seven days a week, which is a full body workout. My wife and I also run and do core workouts 6 days a week (most weeks). You could say I'm in phenomenal shape, and that I'm really sexy.

I started working out every day, but just stuff with no weights like pushups. Dirt biking is a pretty good workout too. I want to lose some fat so my abs show better. 6'0.5 160 pounds 16 years old

Really is it that strange? It's not just my city. In L.A., Corona, Norco, Santa Ana, my city Riverside, the kids 13-19 not overweight clearly outnumber obese teens. There are a number of overweight but you act like a half of the countries teens are. And like I said gym memebership has increased dramatiically. In my city alone 3 new gyms have opened up in the past 2 years. I guess So Cal is just more healthy than where you're from.

I work out almost every day, but I eat whatever the hell I want, and I've had a six pack since I was 17. (I am now 28.). It completely depends on your metabolism and your natural body type.
EDIT: A lot of it depends on those two things. Not all of it.

I can see them already but I think I got some fat lately when I gained like 15 pounds. I heard if you burn 500 more calories than you eat you'll lose 1 pound a week, so if I did that it wouldn't take very long. I still want to gain weight though so I'll just eat as much as I want and see what happens
3-4 times a week About an hour each time Used to do 6 times but to lazy for that now lol
(i mostly run 6-7 kms) then do some light weights if i have time.)

A lot of sit ups is good. Also what I noticed helps is doing sprints, it helps burn fat and work you're legs and abs, plus it's a lot more convenient and easier than long distance in my opinion.

If I were to guess I'd say so cal would be more in shape than most of the US. I live in northern California around Sacramento area. but like I said there is a huge difference between somsone who is healthy weight which would be the middle option than someone who is in great shape. If u look at the poll theres almost twice the amount of people who say great shape compare to normal weight.Have any experience with getting abs? Yea, I have been doing ab workouts but I need to get rid of this small beer gut first though. I've been doing interval running along with using a bike at the gym. Seems like a good way to burn the fat but not really sure.Have any experience with getting abs? My abs aren't perfect but there still pretty good. Do alot of cardio. Alot of cardio. Thats y I do 1 1/2 hours of cardio. You have to burn the fat out to show the abs. Its more about body fat percentage than than ur weight. Lower your carb intake. EAt smaller portions with more meals. So 5 times a day but each meal is much small. do crunches. I do 400 a day includding 80 leg lifts. I also have ab days where I do 1 hour of core workout. and it takes a long time. It'll prob take you one year and abs are super easy to loose. Cardio and eat right[QUOTE="chansaet"][QUOTE="Darthkaiser"] Well it's going great, back when I started I was like 280 pounds, of course that was roughly 2 years ago, now I'm on 190 and It's around my ideal weight because of my height. I always try to go 4 times a week but college usually allows me to go 2 or 3 if I push it. [QUOTE="ExoticAnimal"][QUOTE="Darthkaiser"]4 times a week for 2 and a half or 3 hours. Well I'm trying to get to 180 before trying to build muscle so I do one hour of cardio and an hour of circuit training, no heavy weights, the remaining half an hour or hour is the result of small talk and goofing around :P Keep it going man. It's great seeing others that are like me and are able to go from fat to healthy. Good job man. Keep going and your be really fit with all the muscles in no time.

I really want that 6-pack but I just don't think I have the endurance yet to do whatever it is that you do.Please Log In to post.
