no it's fine because there's a ton of people that look better than i do and are way stronger[QUOTE="chansaet"][QUOTE="Jolt_counter119"]My abs aren't perfect but there still pretty good. Do alot of cardio. Alot of cardio. Thats y I do 1 1/2 hours of cardio. You have to burn the fat out to show the abs. Its more about body fat percentage than than ur weight. Lower your carb intake. EAt smaller portions with more meals. So 5 times a day but each meal is much small. do crunches. I do 400 a day includding 80 leg lifts. I also have ab days where I do 1 hour of core workout. and it takes a long time. It'll prob take you one year and abs are super easy to loose. Cardio and eat right Damn, I don't think I could do that. 1 1/2 hours of cardio seems a lot. What types of cardio do you recommend or what do you do? I really want that 6-pack but I just don't think I have the endurance yet to do whatever it is that you do. I don't even have the full 6 yet. I spent most of winter bulking up a bit so I gained alot of fat. Spend last 2 months toning down. But I do alot of elliplical its really easy and u burn alot. I also swim alot. My abs are good but there not great. It's wat I'm mainly working on right now. I also used to be really fat and people told me that my body is prob more use to storing fat rather than burning but abs are really really hard. But make sure you hae the pecs to go with them. Abs by themselves are not good but with the pecs you'll look nice. I'd say pecs r more important than abs. Abs are something that complete the looks. You can look really good with pecs and no abs but with abs and no pecs you wont look good.A lot of sit ups is good. Also what I noticed helps is doing sprints, it helps burn fat and work you're legs and abs, plus it's a lot more convenient and easier than long distance in my opinion.

I do 6 days a week so I can excuse myself for eating fatty foods better then if it was just 5 or so.

I want to start swimming but kinda self-conscious about myself so I'll probably weight til I lose a few more pounds before starting up swimming. As long as I keeping losing some of the fat, then I'll be happy but ultimately I want to have rock solid abs. Yea, I know what you mean. Pecs are important too.
I work out at least an hour a day and fit in push ups and crunches, also do a lot of yard work when I'm at home with my parents.
This! I stopped my strength training last month. However, I'm taking pilates in the fall anyways.Depends on when I'm not feeling lazy then I'll do some cardio.

i just do cardio at the moment. i just got back from 6 months in australia, and i put on a few pounds, but more importantly, lost all my fitness. so i've been back 3 weeks, and i've been going jogging every second day, and hoping to start weights or swimming soon. but isn't everyone? so i'll just be honest and say 3 times a week.
[QUOTE="Jolt_counter119"][QUOTE="chansaet"] It has to be a strange city. That's good though. However there is a major difference between someone who is normal weight and someone who is fit. Skinny does not mean fit. That's y I assume there should be way more people who are normal weight rather than in great shape, but then again maybe people think there in better shape than they actually are.chansaet
Really is it that strange? It's not just my city. In L.A., Corona, Norco, Santa Ana, my city Riverside, the kids 13-19 not overweight clearly outnumber obese teens. There are a number of overweight but you act like a half of the countries teens are. And like I said gym memebership has increased dramatiically. In my city alone 3 new gyms have opened up in the past 2 years. I guess So Cal is just more healthy than where you're from.
If I were to guess I'd say so cal would be more in shape than most of the US. I live in northern California around Sacramento area. but like I said there is a huge difference between somsone who is healthy weight which would be the middle option than someone who is in great shape. If u look at the poll theres almost twice the amount of people who say great shape compare to normal weight.I'm gonna go with chansaet here because I live in Long Beach which is so cal and I see overweight, outa shape people of all ages all over the place. The cities you have stated cover a enormous geographical area and it's impossible for you to even know that info unless you have some sort of study to prove your statements.Edit: after a little reasearch I found that it is one in three teens who are overweight in the US. Acording to the CDC, 24% of all people in California are overweight and 20% of people in LA county are obese.
So far it seems to be to much people are in great shape. Most people should fall into the average. Come on people just be honest unless if the unfit people are avoiding the threatchansaetlol, this thread. who's to say you aren't in the average buddy? performance counts, not length of work out. How much your performance diminishes over time would determine your quality of shape. I don't anticipate we have that many elite, or world class athletes browsing the forum.
Whenver I get a chance to workout (tyr four times a week). Though I walk alot do simple things such as parking far away.
I exercise every alternate day.
I'm about 6 feet tall and I weigh 54 kilos... I hate being an ectomorph :|
I tried stuffing myself like all those people say I should, but that just ended up making me feel bloated and sick. I'm now trying out foods with high calories but doesn't fill you up quickly like nuts and protein shakes. I hope it does the trick.
