in middle school, not sure if i was considered popular or not, people knew who i was cause i won all the athletic awards in middle school. in high school, i was kinda friends with a lot of the popular crowd, never really hung out with them though. in college, there's really no such thing as the popular crowd. i like it better that way. people care a lot less about that kind of thing in college.
of course for the right reasons,i was in baseball(still am),had made good friends with teachers. Joined the music club(different from band),nd have a big sense of humor,i was considered the comedian of the school.[QUOTE="aerial6790"][QUOTE="MystikFollower"]
 For the right reasons I hope :P....

i might know you
yea right[QUOTE="Xx_Hopeless_xX"][QUOTE="Halcalix"]Meh..college is better then highschool for most of you i would guess...no cliques and such...you just go about your business for the most part.. For me it's worse..i'd rather be learning from home.. And i don't like online courses -_-.. i graduated in 05. i miss high school. college has no magic in it. people talk and such, but it just doesn't have the same vitality that high school did. in high school, there was a sense of "we're all in this together," and for most of it, you could count on going through it all with the same bunch of people. but in college, you're on your own. it's dreary. Meh...i never found the appeal in the group mentality..So true...

i was pretty popular in the fact that i was friends with everyone. i hung out with the preps, the jocks, the stoners, the metalheads and the geeks. i never constricted myself to just one group of people.

I'm 27 and I was so popular that I'm still dating high school girls.
kidsmelly
that's what i'm talking about.
I'm not very popular at my school, as in I'm not exactly well known. However, I nearly always make acquaintances with those sitting next to me (maybe being a good person to copy helps  ) and wouldn't say I have any enemies. People either like me, or are indifferent to me.
Also, being on the track team as a hurdler has made me known well among runners.
i got along well with pretty much everyone. though i was only really good friends with a small # of people.comp_atkinsPretty much this. I don't t think my school was as cliquish as other schools. Save for a few people, I saw pretty much everyone at the same events and parties, and there was a closer group of 7 or or friends who my folks would say 'lived at our house'..
People know me, I know them. I wouldn't say I'm popular, but people like me. I'm friendly. :)
I'm not exactly interested in wanting to get to know them. 75% of my school focuses on getting high and that's all there really is to them.
I had my close group of 10 friends or so, but I didn't talk to anyone outside of that really. I was one of those kids who everyone knew, but didn't really know. If that makes any sense.
Its strange... Pretty much everyone new me, and I think alot of people liked me. But they also thought I was crazy and just the way I carried myself I think I was pretty unapproachable so its hard to tell.
I equate crazy with interesting. Its strange... Pretty much everyone new me, and I think alot of people liked me. But they also thought I was crazy and just the way I carried myself I think I was pretty unapproachable so its hard to tell.

I have never been popular and I never will. Thank God I only have my senior year left of high school.

The other guy i would think...i never understood those either :P..You're also very modest. I like that.I, a couple of decades before, was very popular because I am a very good student, and everyone likes me.

Most people knew me but i wasn't popular. I was the german, harry potter. jewish person. Which makes absolutly no sense.
I was never popular in school until, I suppose, I became more fixed in the math department at my university. I think I'm somewhat popular in my math department...I'm a graduate student now and I run the Math Club. So I think I'm certainly one of the most visible people in the department-- I'm always around.
I am well acquainted with everyone, however I'm astonished at the point where some people begin to call their acquaintences "friends"... I know a lot of people I hang around with and I can be sociable with, but I find that they're such shallow people that I don't dare call them my real "friends". There are a select few people I actually care about, but many more who seem to want to hang out with me because I'm "cool" or whatever. I don't think I really deserve it. I'm still a nerd at heart.
I've never been popular, but I wasn't an outcast either. People knew my name and who I was, but nothing like prom queen or any of that junk
