I am quite shy, which unfortunately means that I have to rely on others to start conversation, although I can carry a conversation on. Unless it's someone I know, in which case I can be pretty normal about social interaction. So I only come off as socially awkward to people who make no effort to know me, but judge me as "that quiet guy".

Not socially awkward. I was popular throughout my school and college years and had a steady stream of gfs. Although I always feel awkward whenever I interact with socially awkward people.

I couldn't imagine living life like what some of you guys make it sound like. Sounds terrible. What are you doing to fix it?

I actually try to force myself to talk to people even though I'm still kinda akward whenever I talk to people.I'm not always successful because I destroyed one friendship of mine by forcing myself to talk to the person when I was in junior high.

Not at all. But I'm serious and I don't smile for nothing, so people get the idea that I'm an asocial person. It's more due to my laconic nature than an awkwardness, though.

Very much so when it comes to speaking situations.
