how to convince my mom to let me get grand theft auto.

the funny things is i used to be able to play GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas... but then the sexual crap came...

Tell her you love her with all your heart and that you would never recreate any of the material you see in the game.

Kids like you are exactly the reason so many people are trying to ban all 18 rated games. Just wait until your the proper age to play it! There are many more games that I'm sure you'll love that are targeted towards your age group. :x

Thats just it! I'm 14, and do you know how hard it is to buy a decent game thats not rated M? Of course you don't, because obviously you're above the age of 17. The only game(s) I liked that weren't M were, R&C and Uncharted. M games hold majority over all videogames of our time.

BTW, I did convince my parents to buy GTA IV, but to prevent them from taking it away, I don't kill ppl or pick up hookers etc. when they're in the room.

No you don't, you still have a lot to learn at 14. But that's nothing to do with playing GTA.

Kids shouldn't play this game. It is far more intense than GTA3 and Vice City, and the new graphics make it far more realistic than San Andreas. Your mom is right to keep it from you.TheSystemLord1

I pulled the all A's, no cussing, basically being a goody-good all my life type of card on them. Took some time, but eventually they let me get it (not until next weekend though, I got a lot of work to do this week).

In the U.S. whenever you try to buy an M rated game the store clerk will ask you what a vagina is. You are required to know if you want a M rated game.

Is your birthday coming up? That'll usually still allow parents to buy you things they would normally not want to.

If thats not the case, your in a bad situation, ask your father, maybe.

Its not like all underage people playing adult-games are bad. I mean, I'm 15 and I play COD4, GTA, etc. Then again, I know right from wrong and I'm not spoiled, and don't scream into the microphone. And my parents are pretty strict.
