Imagine if some poor bloke walked up to you on the street and said to himself, "Hey, there's a nice looking guy carrying some groceries to his lovely home, and it's chilly outside today. I think I'll wish him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for him and his family!" Guy: "Merry Christmas!" TC: "I don't celebrate it WTF! That was offensive." Guy: ".....sorry. Forget about it." The poor man walks away dejectedly, wondering what he could have possibly done wrong. His heart was in the right place; did he say the wrong thing? Was it how he was brought up? At first i was indifferent, hell i've been guilty of saying "Merry Christmas" back on occasion. But after reading some of the replies in this thread it will not happen again. Ignorance, hypocrisy, fresh off reading The God Delusion, this thread only reinforced why i am an Anti-Christian soldier. Have a Merry Winter Solstice friends :)
Why does it bother you so much? Is your world going to end because someone wishes you Merry Christmas? Are you going to explode? Stop being a **** and grow up, someone wishes you merry Christmas just say thank you and move on about your life. Would you prefer it if those people said to you "have a terrible holiday"? And what's with this Political Correctness crap about saying "Happy Holidays"?
I know a girl like that, she got mad at me because I said black guy instead of African American, it's just rediculous. I was telling her about my friend who was moving back here because he had to deal with alot of racism because he was black, and that made her flip out. She's white which I find funny and my friend doesn't care if people use the word balck.
Oh and celebrate Hannuckha and Christmas, and if someone wishes me merry Christmas I don't care lol.
