It's ok to date, but I would definitely try my darnest to find out how her dad and the pastor feel about this. Seeing how you have a connection with the dad it should be a fairly good in, but you have to realized she is highly visible at the church (the dad play music for the church, her relationship to the pastor) and if she is every bit as pretty and nice as you described, I would bet there are tons of other guys who's dying to take her out as well.
If this is just a purely should-I-or-should-I-not ask out a girl question, I would say go for it. But there are quite a bit more at stakes here, if it doesn't end well you might ended up having to go to a different church altogether. But, you are the one calling the shots here, I'd say think about it before coming to any conclusion.
I personally would wait for her to hit on me than the other way around, that way there's much less risk involve on your part. But whether or not that will happen depends entirely on your charms and wits sir...
