1. ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY: Will Ferrell is one of the more overrated actors in recent memory and his most overrated film to date is Anchorman. The hardest part of the movie was not spitting out my drink while laughing so hard, the hardest part of this movie was managing to keep my eyes open for the hour and a half filled with the typical, same old same old garbage we've come to expect from Will Ferrell. In this movie, like in every single other movie he's ever made, he plays the lovable dumb guy who is very successful, loses it all and in the end he learns a lesson and has success again. Forget Saw and Hostel...if you want torture watch this movie, which is by far the most overrated movie of all time. 2. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE: Napoleon Dynamite is not an awful movie...it’s just an incredibly boring film with about one funny line every 15 minutes and a story that has about as much depth as an episode of the Teletubbies. When it comes to the dialogue, the pacing of the movie is so slow that it appears the target demographic for this film is people who were dropped on their heads as babies who need some time to comprehend everything that’s said. The movie has no story for the first hour and during the last half hour they tack on some dumb story where Napoleon’s friend is trying to become class president and the movie ends with some stupid scene where Napoleon dances, which is a sad attempt at being climatic. There are some funny lines here and there but unfortunately you have to suffer through long, slow and boring dialogue that goes nowhere. This movie has a bunch of characters that you don’t give a damn about and by the end of the film you’ll be wishing that someone would be kind enough to drop a bomb on whatever town this slow and lifeless movie takes place in. 3. FIGHT CLUB: Fight Club has an interesting premise with a bunch of guys in a secret underground club who fight each other. Unfortunately, they completely lied to us when they made this movie because the film has nothing to do with this at all. The highly skilled Edward Norton wastes his talents on this piece of junk film about some guy who wines and complains for an entire movie about being an insomniac. It’s only appropriate that this movie makes a list of overrated films because one of the stars of this movie is the very overrated Brad Pitt. Unlike Tom Cruise, who is attractive to women but is a terrific actor who has made plenty of good movies, Brad Pitt just relies on his looks to make people think that he’s a good actor. He is a boring and lifeless actor whose acting skills rival that of an “actor” in a porno movie. 10. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN series: It puzzles me why a series that is one of the most successful movie franchises in box office history could have such boring movies. Johnny Depp is the best character in the films and he always does a solid job but everything else about the movies is terribly long and boring. The first movie was a pretty good (yet still overrated) movie but after the first one we’ve been getting nothing but garbage from this series. The story in the second and third movies is confusing and uninteresting, most of the characters are funny for a while, but as you pass the second long hour of the movies their little pirate slang sounds like nails on a chalkboard. TWISTER: When watching a movie you want to root for the good guys, the protagonists. But how can you root for people who are stupid enough to chase down a tornado for pretty much no reason at all. Bill Paxton stars in this insomniac-curing film with a script ripped straight out of a movie cliché book where two people who didn’t get along in the past (in this case ex-husband and wife) have to work together to achieve a common goal. This is a boring film that does the same old thing every few minutes...walk up to a tornado, the tornado is stronger than expected, run for your lives and repeat over and over again throughout this unentertaining and foolish film. RUNNER UP --- JURASSIC PARK: I just don't like this movie for some reason.

I find it funny how everyone loved The Departed and then when it won the award for best movie people are like "wait a minute, Goodfellas didn't win the award and that was better than The Departed so this movie sucks now."

I don't get it. It was an okay movie, but I really don't see what was so great other than the acting. The ending felt so.....it's like you saw it, and then said "Well....okay. That's it I guess".

This is why I hate movie critics. They cant just watch a movie and enjoy it for what it is, Its all this "shallow plot" "static characters" **** Seriously, just watch the effin movie...
I agree with 1,2,3,4. Anchorman i thought was good but its been over used like borat. Dynamite suxed. Fight Club although i think its a great movie, isnt excellent like people make it out to be. Pirates, well 1 was okay, 2 suxed, havent seen 3. As for twister ive loved that movie since i was young, i just really like it. Made me wanna hunt tornados.
As for 5, they were doing it to help people get better warnings for tornados, maybe you missed the point. Plus there are actual people who do stuff like that.

lol, i dont know,its just a movie ive always loved. its the ultimate, b movie, watch when there is nothing on.
disagree with 2 (since the movie is a subtle comedy about mormons in the utah region; even though they never mention them as mormons, they drop a lot of clues. if you knew some of those people in real life, you'd be rolling on the ground laughing at how eeily accurate they parody these people), 3, 4(only the first movie, hated the sequels) and 5 was great for its time.
the departed was pretty cool...except for the ending....it screwed the whole thing up.. :'( jurassic park was ok..till the 3rd one..i think the most over rated movie at its time of release and after that was V for Vendetta.... i just didnt like that movie...
Besides, I dont know many people who like those except POTC and Anchorman. Most of them are fairly, small fan base movies.Def_Jef88

Anyways, its still one of my favorite movies. It manages to be hilarious without all the filth thats all too common in movies these days. I think the lack of a plot or any real point at all added to the charm of the movie. Its up there on my list of favorite movies. In fact, its porbably my favorite comedy movie besides maybe Rush Hour.

Actually, that new Will Ferrel movie where he's a racer is overrated, everyone I know that has seen it thought it was awesome besides me and my one friend. Us two became so bored we left the theatre after he "paralyzed" himself.

It seems pretty love/hate to me. Everyone I know either thought it was utterly hilarious, or was just plain awful.
