The original "The Eye" was good but I believe that was Mandarin. It doesn't matter where, as long as it's good.
I tend to like horror from the far East in general as opposed to American.
Just looked it up on wikipedia, looks pretty decent. :D

I saw that a while ago and enjoyed it.So you can stand the more "extreme" Japanese movies? Anyways, a recent one I enjoyed was "3 Extremes", not one of my top movies, but good nonetheless.
Yandere
Some good semi-recent ones were:
Dead Silence
The Hills Have Eyes
Hostel I/II (If you like those kind of movies... which I do)
[Rec]/Quarantine ([Rec] is far better but some people just seem to hate subtitles)
Silent Hill (Pay no attention to haters, this movie was actually great)
The Saw Series (Steadily get worse but they're still always above average in terms of horror movies)
Turistas (Similar to Hostel, it's worth a watch but kind of low on the list)
And that's all I can remember for now

Damn, that looks awesome. Hopefully the video store would have it.
REC is my all time favorite horror movie. A very confined, claustrophobic setting, great acting, and a story that just keeps gathering momentum, taking you for a ride on a relentless downward spiral on which there's no going back. Simply awesome. :D
Just don't rent the american copy called Quarantine, it doesn't do the original justice.
Damn, that looks awesome. Hopefully the video store would have it.avatar_geniusI've gotten it in town before. :D

Where at?
Evil Dead II. You will not be disappointed. If you can't get that, then get Braindead. If you can't get that, get The Toxic Avenger (all are hilariously grusome). :D

Evil Dead II, Braindead, Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Army of Darkness all beat it, IMO.
Where at?avatar_geniusI'm trying to remember since it was a couple of years ago... Either the Take 2 (19th Avenue) or the Northport Blockbuster on the north side.

Take 2 north?

[QUOTE="battlefront23"]Wouldn't say it was that scary as much as being the best zombie movie ever created :D Its actually been debated if its a really zombie movie or not. Even then I would think that Night of the Living Dead is the best. It was much more then a zombie film.28 Days Later.

Let the Right one in and Psycho. biggest_loserLet the right one was more of a love story with vampire themes. And Psycho is a psychological thriller, A big a building block for the slasher genre but really I wouldn't consider it one. Both great movies though.
TC you mentioned you liked The Uninvited, so you MUST go watch "A Tale of Two Sisters", as the Uninvited is a remake of that awesome Korean movie.

It even says on the IMDB that these are both in the horror genre.

Usually, it seems the only people who can't admit it are film snobs and those who don't want to admit that Hitchcock directed a horror movie.
