Genetic fallacy?
Get a clue on what a genetic fallacy is? Semantics aren't even being argued here...When you attempt to dismiss a position by explaining the origin of how that person came to believe. Something can be true regardless if that person had bad reason for accepting it. Hence why I put the question mark at the end of my sentence.

I am not one of the over the top judgemental christians ( I am a average christian). I am just expressing my opinion on the topic, I am certainly not perfect and no where in the Bible says that you have to be perfect to get into heaven. The biggest requirement is to accept and have a relationship with Jesus and God. Its a personal choice on where you want to believe or not, no one can make that decison for you.

Nope that's not it.Nope that's not what imaps3fanboy said or implied.
The biggest requirement is to accept and have a relationship with Jesus and God. TheBlizz87So someone who is the kindest person ever, and does good deeds, HAS to believe in God in order to go into heaven. Sounds like one of those members only clubs, although there's no actual reason to believe their headquarters exists.

Well not being a judgemental (in a strict sense) Christian doesnt exclude you from being jerk-Christian.So, you're not really an average Christian.

Pretty sure that is the genetic fallacy or at least a form of it. But I was merely asking him, if he was suggesting that. Not that he committed it.

So a person that murders gays, non believers and worshippers of other religions (all the while accepting jesus and god) can go to heaven but the nicest person who is an atheist cannot.
That makes sense though as the person in the former is actually following the bible.
I'd ask him why the Bible is so antiquated and irrelevant, something I wouldn't expect from an omnipotent being. HoolaHoopMan
Is the mind of an semi potent being better than the mind of an omnipotent being?

How I am a jerk? I never said anything bad about anyone in this topic. The real jerks are the ones who are making fun of peoples beliefs.

didn't you make a thread stating that the users on OT are worse than those who frequent 4 chan?
That's something a jerk would say.

You were sarcastic about people going to hell. Hell is no laughing matter*, mister.*or sarcasm material
[QUOTE="jshaas"]Read two books... "Beyond Death's Door" and "To Hell and Back." I'll be waiting for your response.Jandurinif you really cared you'd at least link me rofl a book of NDEs that is not going to convince anyone don't you all know you dream? you don't think you can dream when almost dead ???????????? I took some time to really think about this one... Yes, everyone dreams. But, why would someone dream about the afterlife just before they die? What would make them dream that dream? What makes anyone dream any dream? They're out of our control. So, what controls our dreams? You should also note that the author of those books was an atheist, and is now a Christian because of what he saw.

I don't really think it's a choice tbh.If I tried my best to believe in, say, Shiva, I probably wouldn't be able to do it.
I just don't have enough evidence to come to that conclusion now that I've thought about the entire situation.
Oh, and Near-Death-Experiences are just from a lack of blood going to the brain.
Your brain thinks it's dieing, but it has no idea what death is like, so it fills in the blank with visions based on what you've learned during life about hell.
Christians see various versions of heaven, and even some American atheists see heaven, because of the amount of influence Christianity has on an American's personal beliefs.
However, Muslims see their heaven, Pagans see their heaven, and most of the time, atheists see nothing, and spend a while in a sleep-like state.
But we know this isn't actually "death," because these same NDE's are experienced in people who experience a lack of blood and oxygen in the head, like astronauts who are training to experience heavy g forces, and pilots who experience heavy g forces during sharp turns.
There may be some afterlife, but if there is, Near Death Experiences are not proof of them, but are separate phenomena.
So that's my question lol.... If heaven exists, I would like to hear god say to me " Congrats you passed the final level!" (using that as an example)
What would you guys like to hear god tell you, when you arrive at those pearly gates if heaven is real?
Gaming4You1990
"Wake up, Mr. Freeman....Wake up and....smell the ashes."
if it exists?..I will not be welcomed as I have denounced Jesus as my lord and savior...SO...maybe if it is real he'll forgive me and I can join in the fun..lol
"I'm so sorry, my son. Here are the eight additional seasons of Firefly you didn't get to watch."
