Wouldn't Satan view us as being on his side? Meaning Hell would just be Heaven, but for the Hedonistic adulterers?
Which would make Heaven their "hell" because they'd have to conform to "God's rule" rather than just doing what they want?
Opinions?

[QUOTE="DivergeUnify"]Satan wants to make everybody suffer, yo Nibroc420No he doesn't. He simply wanted humans to have free will, nothing suggests otherwise. You make satan sound like Americas founding fathers.
Dont you think the idea of a place where you're eternally happy would be extremely boring? Especially since you'd be an angel, and as such wouldn't die? That would be hell for me, boredom forever. Which would make Heaven, Hell IMO. In the same sense, people who wish to have premarital sex are often told they're going to Hell. But if you want to have premarital sex, you can't do that in Heaven, however Hell would allow that. Making Hell > Heaven in that scenario. I could go on.What? Heaven is Heaven and hell is hell, even Satan knows that

Satan is not the same thing as the Devil.
If I am correct Satan(or Lusifer) is the title of the christian version of the Devil, so when dealing with arguments about him it would be pointless to look anywhere else besides the bible...
Tc he just says those things so that he can get at your sweet ass once your stuck in hell.Capitan_KidI'm sure of all the "sweet ass[es]" in Hell, mine wouldn't be his first choice. I'm sure if you were raised in a High-Tech society, you'd think the Amish must be bored all the time. Likewise, I'm sure If you were raised by conservative christians, you would view Hell as torture, because you're told it's bad.Interesting... Who is?In both Jewish and Christian theology, Satan is not in charge of hell (a common misconception, though), which means that how Satan would regard someone who went to hell is not relevant at that point in time.

God, same as everywhere else. Orthodox theology holds that Satan suffers in hell just as everyone else.

I do have my beliefs and what I've been told was that hell was made to protect us, just as jail was. It was made only for the Fallen Angels, and going through everything I've read there's only 2 choices, Heaven or hell, my choice is obvious between the two

I'm simply suggesting it like this.... If you like fluffy clouds, angels, and harps = Heaven is awesome. If you like killing, stealing, or having premarital sex = Hell is awesome. If you're into the things Heavenly people are into, you probably wont share the same values as those who're in Hell, and Thus, Will Enjoy Heaven and vice versa. If Satan does indeed rule hell, and you go to hell, you have the same values as Satan, and can be buddies, defying God together, along with his legions of Adulterers. Of course, once you're in hell, you can't die, so there's no need for murder(and no fear of it), or stealing(steal it back if need be?).[QUOTE="xxKai"][QUOTE="Nibroc420"]I'm sure if you were raised in a High-Tech society, you'd think the Amish must be bored all the time. People think of Hell as nothing more than being in the center of the Earth partying but it's very possible that Hell is made to take your worst fears and make them reality. In other words, if you hate snakes you'll be covered by them 24/7, if you're looking for those loose women they may all have been transformed to the most hideous creatures you can think of, and if you hate Justin Bieber his music is being pumped into your head non-stop for eternity.
There was this joke going around about a guy sent to Hell who was told about three tortures he could choose from when he arrived Let's just say for the sake of me not getting modded the third one involved a man and a beautiful women in a room performing a sexual act with each other. He picked that room thinking he would replace the man and he ended up replacing the woman instead and being stuck with the man.
But that's just my theory, I could be wrong.

I hate to laugh, but this does make me laugh a bit. I mean no offense by it though. If your concept of Hell and Satan's rulership of it prove anything, it's that the common Christian misconceptions of Hell and Satan are inherited largely from Greco-Roman mythology.

People can not become angels. If you go to heaven then you go to heaven, you do not become an angel.
Satan was created by God, and is most likely just an agent of God. That said, the modern idea of Satan is basically Heath Ledgers Joker from The Dark Knight. He "just wants to see the world burn." So no, it wouldn't be a good time for sinners, that's the point.foxhound_foxBut even the Joker needs people to help him in his attempts to "see the world burn"
If you put 2 Jokers into a room, would they want to see eachother burn? or would they join forces to burn the world together?

How does a soul "feel" the burning sensation though? Really can't be torture if you don't feel the lava burning you considering you won't have your earthly body to give you that burning sensation....An interesting point of philosophy deals with the broad subject you touch on regarding subjective experience, or qualia as the technical term goes. The question of what it means to "feel" is an interesting one that has no clear-cut answers. It can certainly be said that when one's body is given a certain physical sensation, this results in certain sets of cerebral activity, but the broader question is where the subjective "feeling" such as "pain" comes into play. Is that cerebral activity itself "pain", or is "pain" something that is experienced in response to that activity? If a computer were programmed to have the same set of electrical activity occur within it, would it "feel pain"? To answer the question of whether a "soul" could "feel pain", assuming the existence of such a thing, questions such as this would first need to be answered, and I don't think we're anywhere near being able to do so.
