Nobody sane wants to suffer. What people can't believe is the idea that God gave humans free will only to make them suffer eternally for exercising it, and frankly I don't blame them.

I don't. All of the truly goodhearted, selfless individuals would go to hell under the standard orthodox Christian view of hell, as frankly any sufficiently compassionate individual would be unable to accept heaven when those who deserve it no less than they find themselves in hell.

a mother goes to heaven, her son goes to hell, is the mother in heaven sad that her son is not in heaven with her? or does it just like not effect her or something cause she's in heaven

True to a point, I'm a kid to Christian parents, they brought me up through Christianity, but no everything was my decision. Have I read the bible? Honestly, no. Am I going to Heaven? I'm hoping. Have I been born in Afghan, I would've thought of my decisions if any. I could choose to follow Islam now, but I choose not to.

I think you're thinking of this:

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. Which, frankly, is not possible if hell is a place of eternal torment, unless God turns everyone who is saved into emotionless husks.
