If someone broke into your home while you're there....what would you do first?

Ok, just like the commercials. You're chillin' either on the tube or gaming, but alone. Your front door crashes open.

You see him at the door. What would be your first move?

Me, if I couldn't get to a gun fast enough, I'd grab anything that would serve as a weapon.

Ask what house he/she thinks they are breaking into. If it's the wrong one more than likely they will just apologize and leave. If the address matches up, then scream.

Try to take him down with my own two hands and hope he does not have a gun. I've been a bodybuilder for over 10 years so I'm pretty confident I could beat him down without a weapon. Odds are you wouldn't have anything to grab quickly anyway in that situation. If he has a gun, he probably kills you before you take that first step, or reach for an object to defend with.

Unless one practices at a gun range most people tend to be terrible shots. Especially without aiming and under duress. I would say even at five paces you have a good chance at not being hit.
