I fail to see why you bother debating Canada vs. the US...when we all know that Europe is still the greatest thing this lousy planet has ever seen.

America has the best trained soliders in the world, and the numbers also show the M16 is faster than the C7. But other than that they are the same gun.

Proof that America has the best trained troops? Last time I checked, Canada was ranked higher than America.

Common sense? :? Are you serious?

besides the fact that Canada is out numbered ridiculously ,seriously think about the numbers of artillery, tanks, air power, sea vassals, missiles, radar/communications, leadership, engineering, etc... it's more than 10 times besides the fact everything is generations ahead in terms of technology compared to canada, how is canda expected to defend its self from that.

You can prove that the US has more troops...but it's plain ridiculous to say that they're "better trained". I mean, there's only so much you can do when it comes to individual training...besides, NATO countries exchange taining programs ALL THE TIME.

well i still havent seen proof that either country has better trained soldiers, but i dont think that having a slightly better gun is preferrable to having over a million more troops.

The burden of proof is on you. You need the proof as you haven't provided any this whole thread. Also the value of trade between the USA and Canada is $365 billion, that is 28.7% of your GDP and a little over 2% of ours. Most know that by now. You export 79.3% of your stuff to the USA and 54.4% of your imports are American.

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ca.html#Econ

It's only 21.4% and 15.7% for the USA.

You do know the US is in NATO right? But by saying Canada > US in terms of military is saying Canada could beat us in a war and we all know that is false.

now your saying someone else brought up "best trained soldier thing" when actually it was you who first mentioned it.

If the US became a third-world country, it'd probably destroy the world economy, turning pretty much everywhere into third-world countries.

Would move to the Netherlands or the UK......

Honestly looking at the UK regardless if this happens because of our education system. Don't really want to shell out tons of money to send my children to private school and still get a lack luster educatio for them.

Why did this thread turn into a discussion about the US vs. Canada in military power?

Anyway, I live in Malaysia. If the US turns into a 3rd world country I can't imagine what the hell it's going to be like around the rest of the world.

Unsourced assertions are not proof by any means; otherwise, anyone could prove anything by saying so. Conversely, others have offered links to authoritative sources and official facts in defense of their points.

At this point, based on everything I've seen, I'm giving it odds of over 50% that you don't believe what you're saying and that you're just out to get a reaction by making outlandish assertions. That is the textbook definition of trolling.

Such an explanation would have convinced me if I was 12 years old.

Western powers have proven to be largely immune to destrctive force...since they have the ability to rebuild extremely fast. This leaves us with only one explanation as to why the US would turn into a "3rd world country" : economic inferioirty.

If this is the case, then the "lost wealth" you're talking about has simply just shifted hands. If the US is overtaken economically, there have to be an overtaker.

Unsourced? A user posted the weapon specs and the mechanism's of each weapon. Do you want me to post the details of rotating bolt mechanism? Do you think that British North America wasn't Canadian? He said otherwise and I told him he is sorely mistaken. I'll even post a link about the 1812 and British North America.

The US isn't economicly inferior, we have a diverse and strong economy going through a rough patch. But are you saying the lose of all business with us wouldn't hurt? Look at what is happening now, most of these markets are reacting to us.

Unsourced assertions are not proof by any means; otherwise, anyone could prove anything by saying so. Conversely, others have offered links to authoritative sources and official facts in defense of their points.

Unsourced? A user posted the weapon specs and the mechanism's of each weapon. Do you want me to post the details of rotating bolt mechanism? Do you think that British North America wasn't Canadian? He said otherwise and I told him he is sorely mistaken. I'll even post a link about the 1812 and British North America.

And one question...Do you have a grudge against me? And you never answered my before question(When was I trolling America).Vilot_Hero

At this point, based on everything I've seen, I'm giving it odds of over 50% that you don't believe what you're saying and that you're just out to get a reaction by making outlandish assertions. That is the textbook definition of trolling.

I guess that's the way you see it, but I on the other hand see it in a different prospective. I gave points and proof(Not for everything). Just because I make a few little errors, I get labeled as a troller of America? Am I reading correctly?

well ive still been waiting for proof that the canadian military has better training.

Why did this thread turn into a discussion about the US vs. Canada in military power?

Anyway, I live in Malaysia. If the US turns into a 3rd world country I can't imagine what the hell it's going to be like around the rest of the world.

If the US became a third-world country, it'd probably destroy the world economy, turning pretty much everywhere into third-world countries.

[QUOTE="Mafiree"]

Would move to the Netherlands or the UK......

Honestly looking at the UK regardless if this happens because of our education system. Don't really want to shell out tons of money to send my children to private school and still get a lack luster educatio for them.

MoonMarvel

But education in the UK is nothing special...

I'd love to hear a detailed explanation of why that would happend.

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/us.html#Econ

It's the over $3.1 trillion in trade done with the world with us. That would be a pretty big hit.

The US isn't economicly inferior, we have a diverse and strong economy going through a rough patch. But are you saying the lose of all business with us wouldn't hurt? Look at what is happening now, most of these markets are reacting to us.

We're talking hypotheicals...

This current economic crisis has got nothing to do with the US becoming a 3rd world country..far from it.

I don't think we will become a 3rd world country, fall farther but we are closer to a bottom.

1. no that won't happen

2. if it did i would be long gone before it did.

i mean people talk about this economic crisis, and maybe it's just because i haven't gotten into the big financial world yet, but honestly i haven't seen any changes in everyday life.

besides gas prices going down

If the US suddenly collapsed to the level of a 3rd world country the rest of the world would be in an economic mess as well. Almost nobody is an island anymore.

thats beacose no one is turning away from the US, in a scenario where the US would compleatly fall apart most word goverments would try to shift major trade away from the US to other countrys as soon as posible to minimize the impact of the US economy falling apart, sure it would efect other countrys but it would be far from a doomsday scenario with everything going back to the stone age, that basicly means more trade betwen the EU and russia, China russia, EU canada etc etc. Right now the world is waiting for the US to get it's **** together and basicly leaving everything as it is, only the EU iirc started to increse it's trading with Canada

No. I would stay here unless the standard of living became so poor that my children were starving or in constant fear of violence.

Depends on my living conditions. If I was to live like the average Mexican, I would move to Canananananananananada.
