What about the average Somalian? Third World Country doesn't make any sense anyway, it was a cold war thing.

Why did this thread turn into a discussion about the US vs. Canada in military power?

Anyway, I live in Malaysia. If the US turns into a 3rd world country I can't imagine what the hell it's going to be like around the rest of the world.

Vilot_Hero

because of vilot hero, moon marvel, and gabuex.

Why am I a culprit in this argument? I provided facts.

I just finished viewing your previous arguments and you had unsourced material pertaining to the training of US soldiers compared to the training of Canadian soldiers. Comparison of military size and weapons dwarfs and is more advanced than the Canadian military resulting in a Canadian defeat. All you have are notional arguments that aren't backed by facts.

What are you talking about? Third world country is pretty much another term for an undeveloped nation. Mexico is an undeveloped nation, and if I lived like the average resident of an undeveloped nation (aka poor at dirt) then I'd move to Canada.

Of course, Canada would also probably be taking down just as far as us. I'd just move to the best place possible.

Violet_Hero stop trolling. EVEN IF Canada has better trained soldiers, the U.S technological AND number advantage would offset that and then some (some is an understatement). Also you first claimed that Canadian soldiers are better trained, so the burden is on YOU to prove it. Furthermore, ~80% of Canadian exports go to the U.S and ~55% of our imports come from the U.S. If the U.S stopped trading with Canada, Canada's economy will drop like a rock.

Anyways, if the US became a 3rd world country, Canada would follow suit. I don't really know where i'd move to.

If the US were to become a 3rd world country, everyone would be pretty screwed. Regardless of where you ran to.

Most currencies and economies are strongly based on the american economy.

The only way for America to turn into a third world country would be some catastrophic disaster such as (29075) 1950 DA acually hitting earth and causing huge changes to our climate.

There more difference between "third world countries" like Mexico and, lets say, Haiti than there's between USA and Mexico. Mexico is a rich country by world standards.

Those weren't allies during the Cold war. First World was just pretty much Nato, Japan and the white British colonies.

The US is in a mess right now as is with hardly any good jobs at all in my area. Even before the economic crisis wages were VERY low in this part of the country and now decent jobs are non existant here.

Me and my family are moving to the UK early next year.

Did you bother looking up the specs for the weapons? The C7 has a case deflector and foward assist, while the M16 doesn't. Other than that they are exactly the same, but the C7 is still better thanks to those small improvements.

Ok you are right. Mexicans have a higher standard of living than many other poor nations. I would much rather live in Mexico than Somalia. But the standard of living of the average Mexican still is poor compared to any developed (first world) nation, and I would move to a better place if I was faced with such a consequence.

There is no standard definition of "First World", so the most common methods to classify whether a country is First World or not are by income and HDI (Human Development Index) which measures standard of living. Saudi Arabia's HDI is 0.812, high. It falls under First World either way.

Yes I did and even posted them. The M16 has a better rate of fire and Muzzle velocity with better Effective range. M16 > C7.

And this small outcome effects the entire outcome of a full-scale war between the United States and Canada? The trained beavers is a better argument IMO. And why is it that over 60 countries use the M16 while 7 countries use the C7?

Saudi Arabia is considered First World (high income), but Pakistan (U.S ally) sure isn't.

Why is Saudi Arabia considered First World and Mexico not when their income per capita (PPP) is pretty much the same? Again, dividing The World in First World and Third world (Second world? lol) doesn't make any sense.

Mexico's per capita income (nominally) is just under what the World Bank considers as high income, so it isn't listed as a high income country. It also isn't listed as an advanced economy by IMF. Both of these classifications are commonly used to determine First World (or not).

If the US became a third world country, the entire world would be screwed. :|

[QUOTE="Vilot_Hero"]Did you bother looking up the specs for the weapons? The C7 has a case deflector and foward assist, while the M16 doesn't. Other than that they are exactly the same, but the C7 is still better thanks to those small improvements.LikeHaterade

And this small outcome effects the entire outcome of a full-scale war between the United States and Canada? The trained beavers is a better argument IMO. And why is it that over 60 countries use the M16 while 7 countries use the C7?

Ok, I'm really going to sleep. Good night fellas.

And so many pick the M16 over the C7 because of the M16 superior rate of fire and muzzle velocity.

Yes I did and even posted them. The M16 has a better rate of fire and Muzzle velocity with better Effective range. M16 > C7.

*sigh* By what....Five? Big difference. I would rather take the case deflector and forward assist than five extra velocity. The reason why 60 countries use the M16 is because they're not skilled enough to use the C7. But seriously, the C7 is better.

Ideally, I would move to Oxford, England.

More practically, I would move to Canada.

More like 50. M16 > C7.

Not skilled enough? Just move on.

BTW some versions of the M16 do have case deflector and forward assist. So again M16 > C7. end.

Not even close to 50:| Why are you praising the M16? The C7 has better internal mechanisms.

Only a few...Not all of them. They aren't in the current model.

You just used HDI. Mexico HDI is 0.829, higher than Saudi Arabia.

Also, Saudi Arabia isn't in the IMF list of Advanced Economies either.
