That's actully the worst idea I've ever heard in my entire life without doubt, EVER. Worse than the "the world be vegatarians to stop globel warming" idea, honest to god.

its not possible for a nation to conquer the worldAlthough the US is cool and all, no. No country should rule the world. Especially since no country is perfect.
(BTW, I'm enjoying the comments from non-Americans in a humorous way.) =D

[QUOTE="xXBuffJeffXx"]Good, let them attack, we're ready.[QUOTE="UrbanSpartan125"][QUOTE="mark4091"]no the entire planet would attack the US if they tried, it's just not possible.UrbanSpartan125
We could never control the entire world. We can't even control Baghdad, let alone north Philadelphia.
Thats because the ass hats in congress think they know more than our generals on how to conduct wars, and ROE'sOur generals are still trying to fight WWII. They are stuck on the plains of Europe, most of them will never understand the true nature of counterinsurgency wars. They think you win by killing more of the enemy than they kill of you, which is absolutely false. Our generals are well versed in conventional warfare, no single country can handle us in a conventional fight. Our weapon systems, tactics, and training are all geared toward that fight, so they have no idea how to combat the insurgent cell in a Baghdad neighborhood, so they roll in with tanks and infantry squads with rifles at the high ready and then, when they take fire, they call in a 2,000 lbs. bomb on a building, killing a few insurgents, even more civilians and alienate that entire neighborhood creating as many enemies as they just killed. The cycle goes on and on. My point is that you win these wars by giving the people a stake in their new country, by finding a viable political solution and utilizing the military within that broader political context. The people are the "center of gravity," they are the main objective.
If the US became world leaders, there would be a massive insurgancy. I'd join in, it'd be a bit like Half Life 2. Can't beat running through a city with a band of rebels killing metrocops. General_Gustafhehe... that sounds awesome :D
It'll happen eventually, the bonds between humans has consistantly gotten better over the last few hundred years, and I expect that thrend to continue. Right now there is too much fighting, disagreement, and difference between certain groups, so at this moment I don't think it would work, parhaps in 200 years or so it would become possible.yoshi-lnex:cry: but I wanna join a rebel force and beat up metrocops in a city now  :P
